Sam hated Halloween, Spencer on the other hand adored it. That is why Spencer called Sam, jealous of him getting to go to a Halloween party while he had to work on a case.

"It's not fair Sam." Spencer whines through the phone. "I have to work this serial rapist case and you get to go to a Halloween party. And you don't even like Halloween." He said, making Sam laugh.

"I'm sorry Spence." He said as he walked toward the bathroom where he saw Jessica putting the final touches of her makeup. "I'd much rather be doing anything else than go to a party." He said, making Jessica turn around.

"Spencer, tell your boyfriend that it's okay to party sometimes." She said, making Spencer laugh.

"Jessica I know you've only met me 4 times but I thought it was obvious that I'm not a party person." He said, making Sam laugh. "Just take care of him for me. Don't let anyone steal him away." He said, making Sam smile.

"I'll protect him." Jessica said.

"Thanks." Spencer said. "But please have some fun, and celebrate."He said.

"Okay then. I'll talk to you later. Bye." He said.

"Bye." Spencer said before Sam hung up the phone.

Sam just sighed before Jessica smiled and finished her makeup. The party itself was pretty uneventful. He mainly just drank while Jessica bragged about how he had an interview to get into law school. He was just tired and left once Jess started to get a little tipsy. Once they made it back to the apartment Sam took Jess to her room and she got ready for bed. Sam did the same as he headed to his room and was about to sleep but decided to call Spencer again. After an hour of talking Spencer whispered that his teammate whom he was sharing a room with was beginning to wake up so that he was gonna go to bed. Sam just told Spencer goodnight before he went to bed himself. He slept for like 2 hours before he heard a noise making him wake up surprised as the years of hunting made him a light sleeper. Sam went downstairs quietly in the dark before he saw a man inside making him attack on instinct. He was surprised as he was on the ground with his brother on top of him.

"Whoa, easy tiger." Dean said, making Sam both furious and relieved that it was just him.

"Dean." He said surprised. "You scared the crap out of me." Sam said.

"That's because you're out of practice." Dean said, making Sam annoyed before he turned them so that Dean was now on his back and he was on top. "Or not." He laughed before Sam got up and helped Dean to his feet.

"What are you doing here?" Sam asked, confused, making Dean laugh.

"Looking for a beer." Dean said, making Sam annoyed.

"Dude." He said before the light turned on and Jessica walked in.

"Sam. What's going on?" She asked, confused, looking between Sam and Dean.

"Hello there." Dean said, making Sam shake his head. "I like the smurfs." He gestured towards Jessica's shirt.

"Jess, this is my brother Dean, who is leaving." Sam said, walking toward her. "Aren't you Dean?" He said, turning back.

"Yeah, no. I came to talk to you." Dean said, making Sam annoyed.

"No. Whatever you need to tell me you can tell Jess." He said, making Dean scoff.

"Dad hasn't been home in a few days.." He said, making Sam want to laugh.

"So he's working overtime." Sam said, making Dean look down before looking back at Sam.

"Dad's on a hunting trip. And he hasn't been home in a few days." He said this time making Sam look nervous.

"Jess, I need to talk to Dean alone." He said, making her look surprised before she went back upstairs. "What is it?" He said.
