"Would you hurry up, we haven't got all day" Johnny shouts behind him, walking far ahead from where she was.
She grunts loudly in annoyance. "Can we just go back? This is so unneeded."
He stops, and turns to her direction. "You could've just left me to go alone [Y/N]. I don't need supervision, I'm not a child!"
"A man child perhaps" she mutters.
Both of them were lost. Lost in the void. Have been for around 2 days. Johnny decided to have a burst of heroic attitude, and left base to go out looking for who knows what. And [Y/N] couldn't not go with him, she knew he would get lost, so they both went, leaving Blade, Elektra and Gambit behind.
They continued to walk, searching for signs of life, food, maybe even newcomers to the void, but absolutely nothing.
"You'd think, with how many people get 'pruned', this place would be crowded" she says, trying to ease the silence.
Johnny slightly chuckles. "Yeah well, we both know what happens when Cassandra gets her hands on them first." [Y/N] hums in response.
After what seems like hours of walking, they finally find a spot that seemed abandoned, rusting metal crates scattering the area, and a, sort of crane, overlooking the plain, isolated land.
"Let's rest." He says, climbing the crane, and then he sits down at the top. She follows.
She sighs, and looks over the dry land. "Why are we out here Johnny?"
"Wanted information, seeing if Cassandra is up to anything more than the usual. And honestly, wanted to get out of that hole. I can't be drinking Gambits liquor everyday." [Y/N] slightly nods at his response.
They sit in silence, neither one of them knowing what to say. Then, Johnny turns his head to hers, and vaguely smiles. "Didn't need to come with me though, I can take care of myself."
She chuckles. "Johnny Storm being able to take care of himself? As if." She adjusts her hair, pushing it out of her face. "I knew you would get yourself into trouble, didn't want you handling it on your own."
He scoffs with a smile. "Is that really the reason? Or maybe you just wanted to hang out with an 'absolute babe' like myself." He jokes, flicking his imaginary hair.
"You wish Johnny boy" she laughs, and starts to open her bruised and broken rucksack. "You want some water?" He nods. "Yes please." She takes out her dusty water bottle, and hands it to him. "Thanks [N/N]." He immediately downs a mouthful.
"It's really dangerous us being out here Johnny. Cassandra's henchman are constantly out to get us." She says, looking around for any sign of them. "It's really fucking scary."
"It will be fine, you've got the Human torch. I'll burn those fuckers to a crisp." Johnny exclaims, squinting his eyes from the sun.
"I guess." She responds.
A few more minutes of silence go by, neither of them wanting to get up and start walking again.
"Johnny"
"Yeah" he answers.
"If they do get us, I just want to say I'm happy I'm dying with you"
Johnny chuckles. "You are so soppy, you know that?" She laughs, realising what she said. "I am aren't I." Her eyes moves to his, while both of them and recovering from the laughter. With a sigh, Johnny puts an arm around her. "But I'm happy too." And with that, he gives a small kiss on her forehead.
Her cheeks flourished with heat, and her smile grew large. Even though they both have been acting like a couple for months now, they never made it official. [Y/N] didn't think it was a great idea, knowing that they could easily be dinner for Alioth if Cassandra gets them. Even though she wanted him to be hers badly.
Their moment was interrupted by faint voices in the distance behind them. They quickly turned around, looking down to the 2 people bickering underneath them.
"Shit" she whispers.
Johnny looks down intently, figuring out if the strangers was a threat or not.
"Another bloody Deadpool." He whispers in annoyance.
"Wait..." she whispers in shock. "That's a wolverine! I've never seen one in here before"
Suddenly, the sound of vehicles fill the area, and they surround the 2 lost guys below us.
"That's Cassandra's guys, we should help them" [Y/N] exclaims, with a slight sound of panic. Johnny quickly turns to her, and kisses her on the lips. "Stay here, I'll sort it"
