**Namjoon's POV**
I saw her again today, receiving the same words of hatred that I have endured for the past three years. A single drop of tear escaped from my eyes as I recalled our memories.
---
**Year 2008**
We were 20 years old. She was the most active girl in our college, participating in every event. We both started to talk to each other at an event like that.
"So guys, as usual, Y/n will be the supervisor of the art festival, so make sure everyone cooperates with her," the teacher stated. Everyone agreed.
"Y/n, make sure that everything is alright, okay dear?"
"Of course, ma'am," she responded with a bright smile. I admired how pretty she looked and how well she handled everything. After the teacher left, we had been studying together for a while, but we had never actually talked. She was probably going to be busy with her tasks, so I decided to join the festival duties just to be near her.
Now, Y/n was assigning work to everyone.
"So, where are the other items? Some boxes are missing," Y/n stated.
"Huh? I remember bringing them all," one of her friends, Mia, replied.
"Bruh, it seems like you forgot, Mia. Fine, I'll get the things from our college storeroom," Y/n said. Her eyes then wandered, and she caught sight of me sitting idly, not doing anything.
"Yo! Come with me!"
"Yes!" I responded happily and followed her.---
We were searching for items in the storeroom.
"What is your name again?" she asked.
"It's Namjoon," I replied.
She just hummed in response.
"So, Namjoon, do you know that there are ghosts here, especially in this storeroom?" she remarked casually.
"Huh?!" I asked, incredulous.
"Yes, I'm telling the truth. Years ago, a granny lived in this storeroom. She was a fellow worker at this college. Unfortunately, she died, and people say her ghost is still wandering around the campus."As someone who is easily frightened by such things, my lips went dry, but I managed not to show my fear. I turned away, pretending to search for items to ignore her. Suddenly, some stuff fell to the ground, and when I turned around, I noticed that Y/n was no longer there.
"Y/n?" I called out.
*No response.*
I gulped hard and began to walk slowly, calling out, "Y/n—""BHOWWWWWW!"
I was startled by her sudden scream right next to me. I struggled to catch my breath and looked at her as she laughed loudly at my horrified expression.
"HAHAAA! You got scared!" she exclaimed, reveling in her victory over me.
"Hehe, I enjoyed—"Before she could finish her sentence, she accidentally tripped while walking backward, laughing and talking. I caught her wrist and pulled her close. We were so close that her breath hitched, and we stared at each other for a few seconds until we snapped back to reality when the door opened, revealing the security guard.

Namjoon came back from his flashback when his secretary entered his office.
"Sir, the meeting will start soon," she informed him.
Namjoon nodded, wiped away his tears, and left for the meeting room.---
**Y/n's POV**
I was thinking about him—how we used to be close and how we were behaving toward each other now. A sad smile crept onto my face. Just then, a dog came to me and snuggled into my arms. I giggled and patted its face.
"From now on, I'll call you Lak."
Lak barked in agreement.
"I will be grateful to that stranger who gave you to me," I said with a chuckle.---
**Meeting Room**
Namjoon entered the meeting room and saw the CEO of Miraclé Enterprises.
"I'm sorry for being late," Namjoon said as he walked toward his seat.
"It's alright, Mr. Kim. By the way, it's nice to meet you."The CEO stood up and offered his hand, which NamjoonNamjoon shook.
"Welcome to Kim Enterprises, Mr. Jung Hoseok," Namjoon said with a smile, receiving a bright smile in return from Hoseok.---
