Hey pookies
I'd recommend listening to
'temporary fix' by one direction half way through this chapter and for the next chapter________

One shot and two beers in and the thought of her still hasn't left my mind.
This shit is supposed to be inexpensive therapy, but it's not doing anything for me.
Tonight is just another opportunity for me to sit and watch Alyssa flirt with someone else right in front of me.
Nick just had to go ahead and play matchmaker.
He's honestly losing his mind if he thinks he has the right idea here. I mean, sending her off with some random guy for the second time. It's a recipe for disaster and I will be the one suffering.
"Hey, sour patch, what's up with you?" Nick says, probably to me considering the fact that I haven't looked up from my drink since Chris brought it back to me.
"You shouldn't have let her come," I say simply, not looking up.
Chris chimes in, saying, "Well I was the one who invited her."
I ignore him and focus on responding to Nick . I don't care who invited her, I'm more concerned
about who encouraged her to socialize by herself."She'll be paranoid all night," I tell him.
She hates being alone. As much as Nick thinks she's thriving talking to that stranger, I know that she doesn't want to talk to him by herself. I can't be the one next to her though.
Nick leans across the table, lowering his head in hopes that I'll lift mine and say something directly to him. "Is that the only reason you care?" he asks with his arms over his chest.
My eyes peer up at him, but my head stays down.
"I'm not trying to lose my job so she doesn't mope about being alone on this tour. She can stay in her room or she can come out and do things on her behalf, but she has our names laced all over her, so if she goes down, so do we."
I'm sure to lie about my thoughts, not wanting Nick to catch onto anything else. My response is partially true, but the fear of her being uncomfortable alone is weighing over what I told him.
Nick leans back in his seat, looking around to Evan and Chris like he's wondering if they're listening to me too.
"That honestly just went in one ear and out the other," Nick says, and he demonstrates this by pointing a finger to his ear, then uses his other hand to point to the air next to his other ear.
"You know why?""I have a feeling you'll tell me even if I don't ask," I mutter to myself while raising my glass to my mouth.
"Because she's old enough to make her own choices," he tells me anyway while pointing in Alyssa's direction, subtly so she doesn't see the chaos forming at our table. "You treat her like she's a literal child and needs someone to hold her hand every step she takes. If anyone needs to grow up it's you. Get a grip and realize you can't be in control of everything, or in this instance, everyone."
I shake my head at him as I place my glass back down on the table. "That's not what I'm saying."
This isn't about me being in control."Like I said, in one ear and out the other. I'm not listening to you complain tonight." Nick finishes off what is left in his drink after trying to tell me off.
