Pov Xaver:

When I came to, I vaguely perceived bright lights around me and felt that I was being carried over someone's shoulder. My hands were still bound together, as were my legs. I felt nauseous and could still feel that strange thing over my mouth. I looked to the left and right and recognized long white walls and a granite floor. We stopped, and a strange gong sound echoed. We walked a few more steps and entered a small room. The walls were also white, and on the left side of the small room were buttons with numbers on them. The person carrying me pressed one of those buttons, and the room seemed to be moving upwards in some way- at least, that's what it sounded like. Suddenly, a wave of nausea overwhelmed me, and I felt everything rising within me. I tried to hold it back and swallow it down again, but this only made me feel worse. The people seemed to notice and said something I couldn't understand. Shortly thereafter, I vomited in the small room. Luckily, that thing on my face was made of small grids; otherwise, it would have been really disgusting for me. The people yelled in horror, and the room seemed to come to a stop. We exited it and walked down a long hallway again. This time, however, we stopped in front of a door. The two other men who accompanied us stood behind me, looking at me with disdain. Of course, I gave them the same look in return.
When the door opened, I was carelessly thrown into the room. A burning pain shot through my back, and instinctively I placed my hand on my stomach. "Was he well-behaved?", asked some old jerk. When I looked up, I recognized that the guy who had carried me was the same one who dragged me into that flying thing and gave orders to the others. Maybe he was something like the Alpha.
The old man knelt in front of me, took my chin in his hand, and examined my face from all sides. "You really have beautiful red eyes. Aggressive and threatening; I like that.", the guy babbled. I didn't understand what he wanted and began to growl deeply. Immediately, the guy let go of me and stepped back a few paces. He turned to the strange Alpha human and said, "Couldn't you find a less aggressive dog?"
"With all due respect, sir, this was unfortunately the only one who survived the anesthesia. These creatures are really hard to catch." It was clear that the old jerk was in a higher position than the other, so I assumed he was the highest in the hierarchy. He nodded slightly and said, "I understand. Get him in the cage, and then I can give you the money." At this statement, the two other men grabbed me and dragged me through the room. It was incredibly large, with many black windows and tropical plants. The floor was black, and in the middle of the room was a huge white carpet with a large white leather sofa and two leather armchairs beside it. The ceiling lights emitted a bright white light that was almost painful to the eyes.
The two men locked me in a large cage against the wall next to the sofa. The bars reached up to the ceiling, and inside the cage was a cot with a pillow and a thin blanket. Next to it were two bowls: one with water, the other with stinking pellets that looked almost like rabbit droppings. The metallic sound of the door lock echoed, and I only then noticed that my bonds had been removed. I immediately jumped up and ran to the cage door, but it was already locked. I shook the bars, but nothing moved. "You bastards! Let me out!", I yelled angrily, but I was ignored. I growled in frustration and shook the bars one last time. The people were still standing at the door, and I saw how the old jerk handed the other men a wad of green bills. They said something and then left. The old man approached me, looking at me with amusement. He licked his lips and said, "Looking at you gives me so many ideas about what I want to do with you, but you're lucky. I'll give you some time to get used to your new surroundings."
"You bastard!", I shouted and banged against the bars. The man took a few steps back and said in surprise, "Oh, you seem to have quite a bit of temperament. Don't worry; I'll teach you who you need to submit to here. For now, you'll keep that muzzle on." The guy laughed and then left. I watched him for a moment, and when he completely vanished from my sight, I sank to the ground. "This thing is annoying.", I murmured to myself, trying to somehow get this thing off my face. It prevented me from opening my mouth properly and made it hard to breathe. But no matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't come off. I sighed in disappointment and leaned my head against the iron bars. "I wonder how Dan is doing.", I asked myself, unconsciously placing my hand on my stomach. Dejected, I pulled my legs to me and buried my face in them. I shouldn't have left Dan and the others behind. If I had reacted sooner, those filthy humans would never have caught me. Hopefully, I can find a way home as quickly as possible. "I hope we get home soon.", I murmured, gently stroking my stomach.
