I set the note on the kitchen table and sighed. Grabbing my bag, I walked outside. Shutting the door so quietly. I walked down to the stop sign at the end of my street and waited for the cab I called to meet me there, so no one sees or hears anything. I don't want to wake them upI smiled as I saw headlights come towards me. Then frowned a bit when it was just a random driver. I sat on the sidewalk, and felt summer breezes here and there, slowly messing up my hair. Sighing I pulled out my Ipod, and just let whatever play.

Not even ten minutes later the taxi showed up.

"Where to?" He asked me.

"The Airport, please." I answered politely.

"I don't mean to intrude, just curious, where are you headed off to?" He asked me.

"Back home, to Maine."

"I have a daughter that lives in Maine, what part?" I smiled.

"The Rockland area."

"Ahh my daughter is from Camden, right near there." He said looking taking a picture out of the visor thingy above his head. Handing it to me. I took it and smiled.

"Kate's your daughter? We went to camp together when we were in 7th grade i think." He chuckled.

"Really?" He asked me. I nodded.

"Yea."

"Small world 'aint it?" He asked me.

"Agreed. Too small." He laughed. We're just about there. I opened up my wallet and found a hundred dollars. I like him, yes its even a lot for me, but taxi drivers don't make a lot.

"That will be thirty dollars." He said writing a receipt. I gave the hundred and he looked at me wide eyed.

"I can't take this." He told me. I got out the car my bag in hand.

"Keep the change. You probably need it more than me."

"Thank you." I smiled and waved a goodbye.

I walked into the airport. Took a big breath and went through the metal detector thingy, put my luggage onto the plane, and walked on in. Taking my seat on third class. Like I said, I'm not rich, no way can I afford first.

"Please shut off all electronics and buckle seat belts while the plane is taking off. Thank you for flying American Airlines and have a great flight." The pilot said through the plane, on the intercom. I buckled up my seatbelt and took a look out the window. Watching as the plane started up and was taking off. I smiled as the world below me was looking smaller and smaller by the second. The sun just peeking up, creating the breath-taking scenery you only see in pictures. I smiled. Its amazing how something can be this beautiful. I rested my head on the window and felt my eyes get heavy.
