Katherine and Allison walk into their Chemistry classroom with confused looks on their faces. Normally, the older girl sits at a table with the McCall boy, and the previous day, the green-eyed girl and the pale boy started sitting beside one another. So when the duo enters the classroom, they're both left confused while they sit down at a table together.
The situation is made a bit clearer, however, when the Latino jerks his head in the direction of the blonde sitting behind him. Their silent conversation is interrupted by Professor Harris, who starts speaking from the back of the class.
"Einstein once said, "Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe." I myself have encountered infinite stupidity." The younger Argent girl can't help but quietly snort to herself while she watches the teacher pat Stiles on the shoulder.
"So to combat the plague of ignorance in my class, you're going to combine efforts through a round of group experiments. Let's see if two heads are indeed better than one. Or in Mr. Stilinski's case, less than one." His comment causes the brunettes to look at one another and quietly chuckle.
"Erica, you take the first station. You'll start with..." When he sees almost every hand in the classroom raised at the opportunity to be her partner, Mr. Harris shakes his head. "I didn't ask for volunteers. Put your hormonal little hands down.
Start with Mr. McCall. Alright, next two. Carter and Sydney. Allison, you'll be with Lydia. Lucy and Meghan. Katherine, you can go with Mr. Lahey." After hearing her name be paired, the younger brunette stops listening while he calls names and looks toward the Beta sitting behind her friends.
He sends her a smirk that the whiskey-eyed boy notices, making his blood boil at the sight. Another moment later, the professor has finished calling the names and dings a bell, telling everyone to move to a table with their assigned partner.
Katherine stays in her seat while the brunet places his book on the table and sits in the sit beside her. While she focuses on following the instructions for the experiment, he keeps his eyes on her, knowing that it angers the boy sitting diagonally from them. "So you're the new Argent in town, hmm?"
