It's now five years later and nothing else has happened between Richard Harris and Daniel Kerry. They remain work colleagues keeping a professional relationship. Nothing has ever been said about the events of that "dinner date" however both men still dream about it...and much more.

"SLT to Mr Harris' room please." Mr Harris speaks into his radio. It's your average Friday afternoon and Richard is teaching 9y1, who always misbehave, today one of his students are misbehaving very badly, throwing pencils and shouting all the time and Richard Harris is not putting up with it. Not today. Not on his wife's birthday. "David," he begins, "how dare you behave this way in my classroom." Just as he is about to give this student the worst telling off of his life Mr Kerry arrives. "Sorry to keep you waiting Mr Harris. You called for SLT?"
"I did, Sir. This young boy is refusing to follow instructions and should no longer be in my classroom."
"Of course, Sir. Come with me please." And with that sentence Daniel Kerry leaves with the student.

Later on, during Richard and Daniel's lunch break, Daniel decides to visit Richard's classroom again. Daniel knocks on the door. "Who is it?" Mr Harris calls out.
"Just me, Richard." Mr Kerry calls back.
"Oh, Daniel! Come in, come in!" Richard Harris rushes over to the door to let Daniel in, "is there any particular reason for your visit?" He asks as the two walk further into his classroom.
"Not really," Daniel Kerry chuckles, "I just thought I'd pay you a visit."
"Well, I'm glad you did." Harris replies. The two men sit in an awkward silence understanding that the last time they were left alone together was the 'dinner date'. Mr Kerry clears his throat and finally speaks up, "so...9y1 are a bit of a handful?"
"Definitely," Mr Harris laughs, "I'm so glad you took that disruptive student away or I might've..." Richard trails off staring at Daniel.
"Are you alright, Richard?" Daniel looks at Richard with concern.
"Oh, yes, perfectly fine." Richard blushes feeling stupid that he let himself get distracted by the man sitting opposite him. Daniel nods skeptically but drops the subject. "So, Richard, what's new with you?" Mr Kerry changes the subject.
"New with me?" Mr Harris pauses clearly thinking about anything interesting that might be happening, "ah, well it's my wife's birthday today."
Daniel Kerry nods, "are you two doing anything nice?"
Richard laughs, "well, we've got the kids so probably not a lot."
"Ah, you've got kids?" Daniel almost looks disappointed.
"Is that disappointing for you, Daniel?" Richard studies the look on Mr Kerry's face.
Daniel laughs awkwardly, "no, no, I'm just interested in your personal life, Richard."
Mr Harris sighs, "it's very obvious that we're both aware of the last time we were alone together..."
Mr Kerry nods before saying, "are you finally ready to talk about it?"
Richard clears his throat, "I'd like another dinner date with you, Daniel. A real date."
Daniel nods, "that's what I want too." As Daniel says that Richard stands up and walks around to the other side of the table where Daniel is sitting. "I've still got fifteen minutes left of my lunch break..."
"Are you suggesting what I think you are?" Mr Kerry stammers.
"I am, Daniel." Richard leans closer, "if you want that, of course." After Richard says that Daniel closes the gap between them with a kiss.

"I guess that answers my question." Richard says, laughing, as he pulls away from the kiss. Daniel looks past Richard at the door and notices a small year 7 child standing there and discreetly tugs Richard's sleeve, prompting him to turn around, Richard looks over at the door. "Ah, Noah! What are you doing here so early?" He walks over to the child trying to hide what has just happened between him and Mr Kerry.
"I just came to collect my book, sir!" Noah cries, "I didn't see anything too bad! I promise!"
Mr Kerry stands up, "you saw that?"
Noah nods his head slowly and Mr Kerry runs out of the classroom not stopping to say goodbye or handle the situation.
