Fame or Fortune - Choi Beomgyu

In music show tradition, after speaking with Itzy Youngie quickly stops by TXT's room to chat with Beomgyu. She talks about her new song, TXT's new song, she even recommends him a random song saying it reminded her of him for some reason. Then she talks about the recent To-Do (EP.117), because she'd really gotten into TXT content.

"Yeah Jia was gushing over Soobin's mukbang thing, she never shuts up about him."

"We should try to get them together." Beomgyu suggest.

"Yeah, if she'd just man up and talk to him!"

"He'd probably be shy about it too." Beomgyu laughs. "By the way, have you talked to I.N. yet today?"

"Not yet, I plan to visit him next."

"I bet you're excited because you get to talk with Lee Know." He elbows the girl, teasing her with his eyebrows.

"Nah, I only really talk to Jeongin when I see his group. I speak with Changbin a little too since he's Chaeryeong's friend. Maybe I'll speak to Seungmin, if he's lucky." She jokes and Beomgyu laughs alongside her but deep down his spirit was slightly crushed. He feels less special knowing that she's like this around everyone, but doesn't dwell on it too much.

"Hey Youngie. This is really random but I have kind of a personal question, you don't have to answer if you don't want to."

"I'm sure it's fine, what up?"

"Well, I often put out this happy and energetic persona but sometimes," His voice drops to a whisper. "I feel really sad inside. And I was wondering if you felt the same... "

"Oh. Beomgyu. I'm so sorry that you're going through that. You should be able to express yourself no matter what you feel inside. For me I think I'm generally a happier person but I do have my bad days, and I too feel like if I let that show people won't want to be around me. Like they're only here for the good times. I feel so alone when I'm sad. Also," Her voice drops to a whisper now. "I hate when people say I'm not 'normal'. I mean I know it's true, I'm pretty weird, pretty crazy, but they don't say that. From school bullies to antis, everyone always calls me abnormal, like I'm less than human."

Beomgyu was shocked at all the information the girl was willing to give, but he was glad they had more in common and told her she shouldn't feel alone. For the first time ever the two motor mouths share a silence. It was a nice quiet though, simply enjoying the other's presence.

Once she leaves, Yeonjun brings up that he noticed a change in Youngie's hair. It's typical for her to wear it at shoulder length and dyed dark brown or left it's natural black as fans say it best suits her. For this comeback however, she grew it out and it was dyed burgundy.

"I like the long hair on her. She looks good." Yeonjun simply states.

Beomgyu sits up from his originally relaxed position. "Who asked you, hmm? She's my friend and I say short hair looks GREAT on her. She prefers it that way anyways."

"Chill out he just gave her a compliment. Why are you so mad anyway, is it because you like her?" Soobin teases wiggling his eyebrows as Beomgyu did earlier.

"Of course not! We're just friends. What are you, 12?" 

"Now he's getting defensive!" Huening Kai laughs.

Beomgyu just brushes them off and returns to his calm state, putting his headphones on to listen to the song Youngie had mentioned earlier.
