April 2024
Beomgyu is ranting to his members when a familiar face walks in, no surprise to him or his staff by this point. He changes his speech when he sees her, in an attempt to show off.
"So I tried to learn it on the guitar you know?" Beomgyu finishes, shocking Youngie with the sudden switch in language.
"Beomgyu you know English?" The girl joins in, swooning over his accent.
"A little bit. Could you teach me more?"
"What do you want to know?"
"Give me a phrase. Something like, I wasn't born yesterday." He replies, cocking his head.
The girl couldn't even think, her smile so wide as she looks at him. Could she have a crush? Maybe. Maybe his deep laugh always making her heart skip a beat was purely platonic. Maybe she just couldn't stop staring at his hair, in a friendly way. Unlike her usual self, she stayed quiet, only focusing on the boy in front of her.
"I also know... " Beomgyu trails off, meeting her gaze. Before he could question it, Youngie leans in closer, mindlessly moving towards the boy.
She uses her pointer finger to adjust his bangs, annoyed by the way they keep falling in front of his face. She purses her lips, softly brushing the strands behind his ears.
"Sorry, I should've asked. Is it okay to touch your hair? It looks nice but I want to see your eyes."
Beomgyu's ears begin to burn. Oh god, could she see them?
"I.. I have to go call my mom." Beomgyu lets out before taking off in another direction.
Youngie frowns her brows before shrugging and approaching Huening Kai whose sat, head hovered over his phone.
"Hey Kai, what's that?"
"Oh it's just this drama I'm watching." He pauses it to look up at the girl. "Beomgyu recommended it because he likes the lead actress."
Youngie takes another glance at the very famous girl on the screen. She looked nothing like her.
"Oh he likes her..?"
Kai continues talking but Youngie fails to listen, wandering in another direction until she's in front of Soobin. If she couldn't get the boy she wanted, she could at least help her friend do so.
"Hey Soobin!" Youngie practically shouts.
"Oh hi." He cringes at the volume.
"Random question, do you like introverted girls or extroverted girls. If you like extroverts you would have kind of an opposites-attract thing going on."
"Oh, I don't know. I haven't thought about-"
"Maybe you like someone in the middle!" Just as Youngie finishes, the rest of Galaxy walks in. "What about Jia? She's in the middle!"
"Youngie... " Jia's eyes widen. She didn't know what was said but she felt embarrassed hearing her name being brought up around Soobin.
"Soobin and Jia could be good together... " Yeonjun ponders, having overheard the conversation.
"Exactly! Their both tall, both like anime, their both hot-"
"Youngie!" Jia yells in a scolding manner this time. Youngie freezes glancing around the room. Mei gives her a sympathetic look, Soobin wears a shocked expression, and Beomgyu's face was unreadable.
She sighs before leaving the room.
Taehyun glances at Beomgyu and stands up, grabbing the boys hand before exiting as well. He knew if Youngie was upset there was only one person who could calm her down.
"I'm so stupid, I just talk too much and ruin everything." Youngie says to herself but it doesn't go unheard.
"She was probably just nervous... " Taehyun tries to reason, startling the girl.
"Yeah because she likes him and her best friend just called him hot, unintentionally might I add! I was mainly referring to her but she'll be mad at me regardless. Even more than she already is!" Youngie whines.
"Sometimes it's hard to face your feelings." Beomgyu sighs.
"You think so? I know some other people who struggle with that too." Taehyun grins, leaving a silence for the two to contemplate.
"Is there an English phrase for that?" Beomgyu jokes, smiling when his and Youngie's eyes meet.
