It was finally the weekend, with no classes and a time to breathe. Evie woke up with a smile spread across her face. She spent just about every Saturday with her dad. She bounced down the halls of Hogwarts to the kitchen to make muffins for her dad.

There weren't many house elves in the kitchen. It was a Saturday, so less food was made because the majority of kids went to Hogsmeade. Occasionally, Evie and her dad would go, but the two liked having time to rest on Saturday.

She made her dad's favorite lemon blueberry muffins. Evie took the hot muffins and carefully placed them in a basket to bring to her dad.

The air was quite warm for an autumn day. She walked up to the hut but stopped in her tracks. A voice and some laughter were heard from where she was standing. There was someone else there. She stood on her tiptoes to look into her home through the small door window.

It was some woman sitting and laughing at her dad's jokes. Evie got excited. Finally, her dad had someone to be with. He deserved it more than anyone.

Now, she had no one to give her muffins to. Evie pondered what to do. She decided to see if she could find Ron, Harry, or Hermione. One of them ought to be hungry.

As she was searching, she saw her potion partner. He was sitting at a picnic table with a charms book and notes stacked neatly next to him. "Hey, do you want some muffins? I want to get rid of them, but I can't just throw them away."

Draco stared at the girl who stood before him with a perplexed expression. His first instinct was that they were poisoned or laced with some potion. "You look grumpy, and sometimes grumpy people are just hungry, so... do you want them?" Evie said while holding the basket out.

He stared at her, trying to figure her out. " I guess that's a no, then," Evie said, walking away.

"I'll take them, " Draco said just as she was about to leave.

Evie put the basket on the table across from him, "you don't have any allergies, do you?" she asked

Draco said nothing. " Well, enjoy them then. They were just made, so they should still be warm. See you in class on Monday."

That was the most awkward situation ever, Evie thought to herself.

It seemed as though everyone had decided to watch the show that Fred and George were about to put on. Evie heard about a potion being made so that they could enter the tournament.

Evie found a spot in the room on a window sill. She had her recipe book on her lap, and she started to plan out what she was going to make for dinner the next night. She usually wrote notes in the margins about what she could make. Little dates, doodles, and highlights were scattered throughout the book.

A tall boy wearing a maroon uniform approached the Hufflepuff girl. It took her a minute to realize the Drumstrang boy was there until he cleared his throat. "I was wondering if you could show me to the library."

Evie took a beat to realize what he had asked and hopped down from the ledge. She looked up at him with kind eyes, "Of course, um, it's just this way." She guided the boy through the halls.

"My name is Evie; what's yours?" she asked the boy. Like the other boys from drum-strang, he had short hair. He was much taller than her and had big, broad shoulders.

"My name is Ivan Petrov," he said in a low voice.

Evie smiled, "That's a pretty name," she complimented him. He looked down at her with a puzzled expression.
