the ending flashes, they call it intuition
breathing in smoke, drowning in decisions
the drought came in, the winds went south
the spark of the lightning bolt i hid died outa sinking feeling creeping in the crevices of us
normalcy unbegotten with love turning into dust
what was once bright and gold, now rusted and bound
to the ends of the pile of mess you called "us" were no longer foundfollowing the script exactly how the writer portrayed
to every step, dance, breath, and laughter at the foyer
still it seems that the ending cannot be unwritten
no matter how much the computer calls upon its systemsi simply watch it lay down to rest
the life we raised underneath this shattered wreck
how we promised a life with greatness and beauty to unfold
and now i simply sit and wait for the final speck to fly forward
