EPILOGUE - BY CHANCE
The neon lights of the bar flickered in a rhythm that matched the erratic pulse of Ayan's heart. The clinking of glasses and low hum of conversation were mere background noise to his shattered thoughts. It had been three months since the breakup with Akk, and the pain of seeing Akk's life moving on in Singapore had driven Ayan to drown his sorrows in alcohol. Each drink seemed to blur the edges of his hurt, but it also brought a numbing haze that left him vulnerable. Just three months ago, his world had felt stable, his whole life had been set and looked bright but now, it was as if the foundation had crumbled beneath him.
Ayan slouched at the bar, nursing his drink and staring blankly at the rows of bottles behind the counter. His face was flushed, eyes clouded with a mixture of regret and sorrow. The world seemed to spin around him, and he clung to the counter for support. His heartache was palpable, each sip of his drink a desperate attempt to silence the inner torment. He had tried to drown his sorrows in the amber liquid, seeking solace in the buzz of the bar and the temporary numbness it offered. The night had become a blur of flashing lights and loud music, but beneath it all, a deep sadness lingered.
Yok, meanwhile, was enjoying a night out with friends, their laughter and lively chatter filling the air as they celebrated the end of a long week. Having given up on relationships after his tumultuous past with Dan, Yok had embraced a more carefree lifestyle. He found solace in casual encounters and one-night stands, distancing himself from the emotional complexities he had once known.
