The mini-exhibit had been a resounding success. Ayan's art class had transformed the classroom into a vibrant gallery, showcasing their works to an appreciative audience. The event doubled as a fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards their final exhibit. The students' dedication and talent shone through, and the evening ended with everyone in high spirits.

To celebrate, the class decided to go out for drinks, inviting Ayan and a few other younger professors who had helped with the project. They gathered at a cozy bar near the university, the atmosphere buzzing with laughter and camaraderie.

Ayan, usually reserved and composed, found himself relaxing in the warm company of his students and colleagues. He sipped his drink, enjoying the rare opportunity to unwind.

"Professor, you've been an amazing mentor," one of the students said, raising a glass. "This wouldn't have been possible without you."

Ayan smiled, touched by their words. "You all did the hard work. I'm just proud to be your teacher."

As the night progressed, Ayan's drinks caught up with him. Yok, ever attentive, noticed his professor's slightly tipsy state and decided to step in.

"Professor Ayan, let me take you home," Yok offered, his tone gentle but firm.

Ayan nodded, feeling a bit unsteady on his feet. "Alright, Yok. Thank you."

Yok guided Ayan out of the bar and hailed a cab. They rode in comfortable silence, the city lights blurring into streaks of color as they made their way to Ayan's apartment.

When they arrived, Yok helped Ayan inside, supporting him with a steady arm. The apartment was neat and tastefully decorated, reflecting Ayan's artistic sensibilities. Yok gently laid Ayan on the couch, making sure he was comfortable.

"Stay here for a moment, Professor. I'll get you some water and hangover medicine," Yok said, his voice soft.

Ayan looked up at Yok, feeling a surge of gratitude and affection. Before Yok could move away, Ayan couldn't resist the urge to show his appreciation. He reached out, pulling Yok back- who yelped in surprise and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.

"Thank you for taking me home," Ayan murmured, his eyes locking with Yok's.

Yok was taken aback for a moment, but his eyes softened. "You're welcome, Ayan."

Ayan's gaze was warm and teasing. "You're really good at this whole caring-for-me thing. I might start to get used to it."

Yok chuckled, a playful glint in his eyes. "Well, if you keep being so charming, I might just have to keep up the act."

With a flirtatious smile, Ayan let himself fall back onto the couch, feeling the warmth of Yok's presence and the easy chemistry between them. Yok slowly stood up to find him hangover medicine and water.

The intimacy of the moment lingered as Yok moved around, glancing at the framed photographs on a nearby shelf. He picked up one of the photos and saw the images of Ayan with a tall, solemn-looking man. The pictures spanned different periods, capturing moments of joy and intimacy. Yok's heart sank as he immediately put down the frame, a pang of disappointment and confusion washing over him.

After making sure Ayan was safely tucked in with the water and hangover medicine, Yok quietly left, not wanting to confront the man in the photos. He was troubled by the thought that Ayan might still be in a relationship with someone else.

In the days that followed, Yok began to distance himself from Ayan. It was painful, especially when he had to see Ayan in class and force himself to leave as soon as the bell rang instead of lingering for some alone time.
