We walk out of the cafe after spending an obscene amount of time playing with the cats. They were so adorable and I couldn't resist. "Let's walk this way and explore." Liam says. "Ok." I smile and we walk down the sidewalk. I take in all of the architecture and the little shops as we walk along the road.
Liam pulls me into all of the little stores as we walk along. I take it all in but keep checking my watch. I know it's getting close to the time I need to meet Oscar. I checked my watch and I hear Liam sigh from next to me. "What's up?" I ask him and immediately a smile is on his face. "Oh nothing, don't worry about it." He smiles before we continue walking. "Hey Liam I should get going now." I say to him. "No just wait, there is another shop just down the block I want to see. Then I'll call the car." He says. "Ok." I say, something doesn't feel right but I continue, happy to be hanging out with my friend again after so long.
Liam pulls me into two more shops before he eventually calls the car. Thank the universe because I'm supposed to meet Oscar in fifteen minutes and the hotel is still ten minutes away. Liam and I climb into the back of the car and the driver pulls off. "Thank you Liam, that was fun." I smile at him. "Any time." He says with a smile, placing his hand on my thigh before removing it. We pull up to the hotel and I climb out the car. I give Liam a hug before quickly walking into the hotel. I meet Oscar in the lobby. "Hey Osc. Sorry Liam kept on dragging me to places." I say trying to laugh it off and Oscar has a small smile on his face. "It's alright. Don't worry. Let's go out the back, they have some nice places there for photos." He says. His words shouldn't cause my heart to drop slightly, but it does anyways.
We found a bench hidden within cherry blossom trees and we sit down. "We went to a cat cafe, it was adorable and you would have loved it. The cats were adorable." I smile at Oscar who returns the smile. "I'm glad you had fun." He says, a slight sadness washes through his eyes but it's gone before I can say anything about it. "Look Hannah." Oscar shifts, placing his arm behind me along the back of the bench. I take a deep breath, worried about what he will say. "About the other night in Monaco, you were saying things while we were walking back that I need to tell you about because there is no ways you believe them to be true." He says and I let out my breath I was slightly holding. "Oh no." I cover my face with my hands. "Do I even what to know what I was saying?" I ask him, worried if it was anything embarrassing. "You were saying that I'm only friendly to you because of the contract and that if it weren't for the contract then I wouldn't be talking to you because you forced me into this..." he trails off and I take a deep breath.
I open my mouth to reply but before I can a loud noise interrupts me. "Ayyyyy! The newest love birds!" We hear and I turn my head to find max and Daniel hanging off of each other as they walk in to the space inbetween the trees. "Aww aren't you two just so cute. Max told me all about your guys little relationship. So cute." Daniel says. I'm glad max didn't talk about the fact that it's actually fake because no one is meant to know. "Lemme take a photo of the cute couple." Max says. "Oh yes that's a brilliant idea." Daniel agreed and I sigh. "Why on earth are they this drunk at 6pm on a Wednesday?" I say to Oscar but it was clearly loud enough for the others. "We were celebrating." Daniel slurs as max holds up his phone camera. "Smile!" Max yells and Oscar and I smile, not that we really want to be posing for Max's photos. "Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!" Daniels starts to chant. I look at Oscar who looks back at me. Fear in his eyes reflecting the fear in mine. My heart rate speeds up. There is no ways he will kiss me but I guess we have to in order to keep up the relationship. "Come on you should take any opportunity to kiss your girl." Daniel yells and a light blush tints the tops of Oscar's cheeks. "Are you ok?" He asks. "Yeah I guess we have too." I say with a small smile and he nods before placing his hand on my cheek, I can feel a slight tremble. He's nervous too.
He leans in and my eyes close. After what feels like eternity I feel his warm soft lips on mine. The world disappears and it's just us. The warmth rushes through me and it feels like fire is burning through my veins. I have wanted to do this for so long and finally feeling his lips on mine has my heart jumping and twirling around at a million beats per minute. His warmth heats up my body in all the right ways as the soft kiss comes to an end. He pulls away and I almost pull him right back but I stop myself. His eyes meet mine. His eyes shine and I'm sure mine do too as I continue looking at him, maybe he feels the same way I do. Maybe he does like me back. My thoughts are interrupted by clapping. "Whooo! What a show! You two are adorable!" Daniel says. "I'm sending these to you right now." Max says. "I'll be back." Oscar whispers to me. "Ok I think it's time you two go to bed." Oscar says, getting up and ushering them towards the elevators. My heart is still racing as I walk up the back stairs to my room, needing the time to unjumble my thoughts from what just happened. I need to think clearly.
