I arrive at the track earlier than I had arranged as I want to sit and go through the data before the race today. I place my things down in my driver room before heading to one of the rooms with all of the computers in. I find Simon sitting at one of the computers, as we had arranged. I greet him before sitting in the chair next to his as we begin going over data. The monotony of going over data helps me calm down. Knowing all the numbers and timings helps put my mind at ease.
After a while and us having covered almost all of the data we had wanted to cover, I check my phone to see the time. I also see loads of messages. I open the ones from Oscar first.
Oscar
Hey, do you want to go to the track together?
Taryn says you went to the track early?
Hi, yeah I'm sorry. I'm going over data with my engineer. It calms me down. Are you at the track yet?
Oh ok. Don't worry it's ok. I just wanted to make sure. Yeah I'm in the McLaren hospitality center but I have a meeting in about five minutes.
Ok I'll see you later then :)
Yeah definitely :)
I smile softly at the messages and Simon clears his throat. "Oh sorry. What were you saying?" I ask him. He laughs. "I was actually asking if you're talking to Oscar but I see my question has been answered." He says and I roll my eyes. "Let's continue from here." He says pointing to the screen.
Kaylee leads me to my sky sports interview. We stand in the paddock and I greet Natalie and Naomi. "Well Hannah it's great to see you here after the last race weekend. How are you feeling." Natalie asks. "Thanks, I'm feeling much better. My ribs still slightly ache but I'm excited for the race today regardless." I reply. "Well that's great to hear, Hannah. Was it just your ribs that were injured?" Naomi asks. "Yes but they were quite badly bruised so I took it easy for a few days but I'm ready to go." I say with a smile. "I'm sure your trainer went easy on you for the first time in a while." Naomi adds with a laugh. "Zee went easy on me for once which I'm grateful for." I laugh. "Now let's talk about some photos we have seen recently. We saw a photo on Friday of you and Oscar sharing a moment in the paddock, what's going on there?" Natalie asks. "Well we thought it was rather obvious." I say with a laugh. Natalie thankfully gets the idea and moves on. "But yesterday we also saw this photo on Oscars Instagram. It's a Jersey for the Deli capitals cricket team. Now we hear that you gave it to him for his birthday yesterday?" Natalie says. I nod. "Yeah he for some reason picked the Capitals for this season." I say. "You say that like you have an opinion on his choice?" Naomi asks. "Of course I do. I'm a Sunrisers fan for the IPL and the South African league." I say. "We know Oscar is a cricket fan too so does this add a little bit of an argument in your relationship? Especially since Australia and South Africa are long time cricket rivals." Natalie asks. "Well there hasn't been much cricket yet this year so we will see about the IPL and also when the T20 World Cup comes around in two months." I reply with a smile.

After a relatively full morning leading up to the Grand Prix, I throw on my Red Bull hat before making my way out my driver room and into Max's. "Hey Max." I say and he jumps slightly, looking at me. "Hey Hannah, look I'm sorry for Wednesday night. We shouldn't have been drinking and we shouldn't have forced you and Oscar together. I'm really sorry and I know Daniel is too. I've been so ashamed of my actions that I couldn't speak to you. I'm so sorry, it won't happen again." Max says. "It's ok, I forgive you. It may not have been right but it actually led to Oscar confessing his feelings for me." I smile and max smiles at the information. "So it's not a fake thing anymore?" He asks. "Well I don't really know as we haven't spoken any more about it." I say. "It will happen in its own time." Max smiles. "Do you want to talk about this morning?" Max asks and I nod, sitting down on his couch after closing the door behind me.
