Good movie, Night smiled at Gear who was holding his waist. He loved watching movies with Gear and his friends. They knew how to pick them and with Gear next to them everything was always perfect. Ever since Gear told him that he loved him, Night felt like he was floating. They spent a lot of time together partly because Night wanted to and partly because his brother was busy with his own lover.

They had slept in the same bed but all they did was some kissing and cuddling. Night knew that Gear was scared to hurt him but he knew that it would never happen. Gear was so careful he would never hurt Night on purpose or even by accident. Not after what had happened. The reason why they had broken up was because Night had spent the night at Gear's condo and during that time Gear went into rut. An alpha in rut often lost their restraints and that was the first and only time Night had been scared of Gear. His eyes had turned black and his pheromones were so strong that Night had felt like he was choking. Being a dominant omega meant that he was very sensitive to pheromones so when Gear went into rut Night went into heat. He had never slept with anyone before and though he had always dreamed about Gear being the first, this wasn't the way he wanted it.

Gear had ripped open his clothes and had pushed him down on the bed straddling him. Night had cried out in pain and fear and somehow Gear's nong and Night's friend Gus had heard them. He came rushing in together with his boyfriend four and they managed to pull Gear off of Night. Gus took Night home as Four stayed behind taking care of Gear.

Night stayed away from Gear because Day asked him to do so. They both knew that it wasn't really Gear's fault but Day didn't trust him. Through Gus Gear got updates about Night and when Day took him abroad Gear decided to take a step back. He didn't want to hurt the person he loved and if Day thought that them being apart was the best thing for Night then so be it.

But no one not even Gear and Night could have expected what would happen next. Gear got sick, he couldn't eat or sleep and thinking about Night made it impossible to breath. This went on for weeks and then suddenly he felt a lot better. His appetite came back and he slept a lot better though not as good as when Night was sleeping next to him. From Gus he learned that Day and Night had come home because Night had been sick as well. Day didn't know what to do and took him back to see a doctor. But as soon as they had come home Night had felt a lot better.

It didn't take Gear and Gus long to figure out what had happened. It was the same thing that had happened with their mom after dad passed away. She couldn't eat, couldn't sleep and all she did was lay in their bed holding her husbands and mates clothes.

Their suspicions were confirmed when Gear saw Night at the restaurant that evening. He felt he could breathe again as soon as he saw and smelled Night. For Night the same thing happened, it felt like a heavy stone was lifted from his heart.

Then everything happened with Itt and Day told Gear to take care of his little brother. He had seen how Night had reacted when he was away from Gear and he had come to the same conclusion.

Night and Gear had a long talk about what had happened before and about Night still being scared because of this. He wasn't scared of Gear but more about the act itself so they decided to take things slow. They went on some dates and after a week Night stayed over at Gears house. They slept in the same room but Gear refused to sleep in the same bed. It didn't take long for Night to feel pity for the person laying on the ground and since he didn't want to get on the bed, Night didn't have any other choice but to sleep on the ground as well. Gear woke up the next morning with Night warm body against his side, his head on his chest and his arms wrapped around his waist. He stayed like that for another hour not wanting to wake his person.

Since that day Night stayed over almost every time and they never slept on the floor again holding each other when they fell asleep and when they woke up. Years later Night would tell their kids that being intimate could be like that, two people sharing one heart.
