In the moment of time , where i was lost
Thinking
Looking at someone i dont recognise
Who is constantly checking my eyes
Laying down on the hospital bed where i don't understand why am i here
Everything seems to be blurry
A voice saying: maya how are u feeling ?
It was the doctor who asked
I said i am feeling good in a broken voice and the energy that all i have to talk
I opened my eyes slowly as possible and saw white hospital lights entering my eyes slowly while it was a bit painful and my vision became blurred to super clear
What happened i asked ?
My mom : the surgery went well maya
In my mind : what surgery?
But it's ok i don't want to ask
Maya ; ok
I looked at my face in a hand mirror
There was a scar near my eyes and head
Did i went for a eye surgery or something else i wondered to myself
While i am here getting confused on what had happened to me
The doctor told my mom in a 2 or 3 days time your daughter can discharge and go home and rest
But pls avoid sunlight for now
You have to come back for check up.
And then we can be confirmed that she can expose to sunlight or not .
My mom saying: thanks doctor
Doctor: its ok just let her rest and recover
Doctor went out of the ward , my mom sat beside me
Hold my hands and told me everything will be okay i promise you
I felt a Sharp pain in my head but i didn't show
I said thanks mom
Few days later i got discharged
When i walked outside of the hospital
There were too many things for me to admire
Such as a person arguing with his mom
A car parking the car
A bird looking at the tree
A road full of cars and bikes
Traffic lights changing colour
Red yellow green
Beautiful sky
The shop near the roadside which is selling ice cream
The uneven road we walk on
I and my mom waited for a taxi
Soon as it arrived i got in and looked at the car
Even though its just a taxi
I felt happy successfully opening the door without any help to get in
There was a keychain , a keychain which is a baby lion
Hanging on to my bag . I looked at my nails
It was perfect beautiful and pink
I looked at the view from inside the taxi when it drove fast
The view was clamming and i was happy
Sometimes small little little things won't be appreciated in life
People allways complains for everything
And i think now life have shown me how precious and nice is to admire small things happening in life .
And one thing i learnt in life
When you are in hospital with some medical conditions then only you will realise who is with you through and after the process
And who left you halfway
The ones who stayed with u and helped you heal those are the ones who will permanent in your life caring for you
For me its my mom
For those who have left you when u were sick
Those are not the people who you should waste your time and affection on them .
And for me its my dad
