Yesterday, I said that I would probably put the fic on hiatus because I was unsatisfied with the quality of the chapters and wanted to fix them/rewrite a new fanfic.
However, I talked to some other fanfic writers, and they suggested that I unpublished the chapters and republish them when I finish making changes to them. Therefore, there will be no hiatus, but some of the chapters will not be accessible until I finish updating them.
It is highly recommended to go back and reread the chapters, as there are many significant changes that will influence the plot of this fanfic. I intend to change many parts of the plot in chapters 1-9 in order to make the story more complicated and exciting.
As for an update/reupload schedule, please expect one updated/revised chapter every week or two weeks. I know I've been promising this a lot, but I really think I will be able to do it this time. When I said I would try to upload in the past, I was having a tough time because of a writer's block, and I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with the story at the time. With new plot points, this shouldn't be an issue going forward.
As of right now, chapter 1 has been rewritten and updated. If you are a past reader and do not want to reread, I will leave a list of the changes for each future chapter I upload here.
I will update this list here every time I finish rewriting each chapter.
Chapter 1:
- More conversation about the break-up and (Haerin's) reasons behind it
- Y/n is less of a hopeless romantic (thank god) and is more sad about the prospect of losing an important friend in Haerin instead of the relationship ending
- Y/n asks Haerin to remain a friend even with their relationship concluding, but Haerin declines and says that she does not wish to see him anymore ;-;
- Haerin acts colder during the conversation but softens up towards the end. Y/n hints that she was crying as she was going towards the car (suggesting that she might not have meant what she said)
- Wonyoung is removed from the chapter, and instead of being the older sister, she will be a love interest of Y/n after the rejection from Haerin
Chapter 2:
- Y/n goes to a nearby cafe, meets a cashier after ordering boba milk tea
- Y/n doesnt realize who it is at first, just that she's tall and pretty
- Cashier is curious what is wrong, asks y/n who is emotionally tired and decides to tell her everything
- The girl reveals herself to be Wonyoung
Chapter 3:
- Wonyoung asks Y/n to talk about how he and Haerin got together.
- Similar story to before, just made it less cringe and also more banter between y/n and Haerin. Haerin teaches y/n how to sing at her house, and y/n kinda falls for her after that.
Chapter 4:
- Similar to the 2nd half of the original chapter 2. Made it less cringe.
PS: I might want to make a Wonyoung X Reader fic with a similar plot to this one (but with wonyoung winning) in the future because Haerin and wonyoung are my ults lol
