Just a Friend...

A little party at Mr. Evan's.

"How was the match?" asked Thalia with utter excitement.

"I'm sure it was fun...how many girls did you see faint?" said Cara laughing. 

I looked at the two of them and smiled. I could not decide whether to tell them about Alex or not. I mean, they are my best friends they have the right to know but I feel scared. How will they react? My first crush. Samantha's first crush. 

"Samantha?" said Thalia. 

"Yeah...say." i said.

"What's wrong?" she asked. 

Thalia always gets it. I have never been successful in hiding my feelings in front of her.

"Listen guys, I need to tell you something." I said.

"What is it?" asked Cara, surprised.

"Yesterday, when you guys weren't there, someone else was." I said, rather confused about how to start.

"What do you mean?" asked Thalia.

"Alex and I spent the evening together." I said. I told them everything that had happened yesterday. They listened carefully. 

"I think I have a crush on Alex." I said finally. 

"What?! Oh my god Samantha!" screamed the both of them. They looked pretty happy on hearing the news.

"Thank Goodness you have a crush on a guy, I was doubting your sexuality lately." laughed Cara.

"Oh please!" I laughed.

After that, for an hour Cara and Thalia started investigating on the thing. I told them every single detail. Then suddenly my phone rang. It was Alex. 

"OMG! OMG! Sam pick it up!" said Thalia.

I took a deep breathe and picked it up. 

"Hello? Alex?" I said.

"Hey douche bag!" said Sean from the other line.

All the happiness from my soul soaked out. 

"Sean, give me the phone!" laughed Alex from the other side.

I could feel his laughter from the phone and everything just went blur. All I could think about was Alex.

"You there?" asked Alex.

"Yeah I'm there, what's up?" 

"Ehh, nothing much, chilling with Sean. Wanted to ask if you're free this evening." 

"Why?" 

"Sean and others have planned a little party at my place, would you like to join us?"

"Can Cara and Thalia come too?"

"Sure why not. So are you three coming?" 

"Okay."

"Right then. See you in the evening. Bye."

"Bye."

Oh-My-God. *Dead*

"You need to look hot tonight." said Thalia.

"You REALLY need to look hot tonight." added Cara. 

"Cara and I are gonna dress you up real good trust me." said Thalia, looking more excited than me. 

So, after half an hour of selecting dresses and make-ups and the hair do's, we started dressing up. Cara and Thalia did not let me chose a single thing. They chose the dress and everything for me. They really wanted me to get on with Alex. I could see it in them. No wonder why I love these two idiots so much. 

So I wore this simple, elegant black dress which, I have to admit, looked pretty good on me. Thalia made me a bun and Cara did my make up. Overall, I looked good. I looked simple and elegant at the same time. Cara wore a cute top with jeans and Thalia wore a blue dress. Together, we headed towards Alex's house.

Knock-Knock. 

Alex opened the door and welcomed us with a warm smile. I've been to his house a lot before when we were younger. Alex used to teach me how to play video games and i used to make him ice-creams. His house is big with a lot of lights. I could here music coming from the living room. So, we went to the living room where Sean, John, Rodrick, Amanda and Jessica were sitting and chatting. I have told you about Sean and John, Rodrick's just another friend of Sean's. He's a great football player and plays guitar to impress girls in school. Amanda and Jessica are identical twins, Jessica is John's girlfriend and Amanda is Rodrick's though I'm pretty sure they have crushes on Sean.

When we entered, for the first time, Sean did not call me a douche bag. Instead, he just looked at me with his green eyes. I smiled at him involuntarily. He smiled back. SEAN BROOKS SMILED AT ME.
