Hara's pov
I made my way downstairs to see a group of students staring at something on the wall.
<Joonhee is a Citizen, from Police.>
"Did you write that down?" Joonhee asked.
Somi shook her head, denying it. The small group of students examined the writing on the wall.
"Did Hyerin really write this?" Eunchan asked. "It wasn't here yesterday," Yoonseo added.
I picked at the skin around my nails, a nervous habit I had developed over the last few days. Kyungjun seemed to notice this and slipped his hand into mine, preventing me from damaging my fingers further. He gave me a reassuring smile.
I tuned out the rest of the conversation, leaning my head on his shoulder as a pounding headache formed at the back of my head.
--------------------------------------------
We had gathered in what looked like a canteen, forming a circle. I sat between Hyunho and Kyungjun, who stood leaning against the table.
Joonhee scanned each of our faces. "I had no choice but to lie yesterday. I am a Citizen and I don't know who the Doctor is."He turned to me with a hint of guilt on his face. "And I'm sorry, Hara, about your sister."
I nodded back, not trusting my own voice.
"You coming back to life is a separate matter. We can't be sure if you're a Citizen or not," Kyungjun said.
"Right, how come your identity wasn't revealed yesterday? The roles are usually revealed when you die. And why would Hyerin put herself at risk to save you?" Mina added.
I sighed. They both had a point. What if Junhee was a Mafia member and not a Citizen?
No, too many what-ifs.
"His identity wasn't revealed because he wasn't out of the game yet," Jungwon retorted.
"Wait," I said. "How do we know that Hyerin really wrote that note on the wall? Anyone could have written it, even the Mafia."
"She's right, you could have written it in the middle of the night," Jinha said. "I say we vote him out!"
I put both hands in my hair, tugging at it slightly. I was pretty sure my blood pressure was through the roof.
Nahee sat up straighter. "The Doctor might have saved Junhee, knowing he was a Citizen."
Mina scoffed. "Isn't finding the person who killed Hyerin more important than interrogating Junhee?" She turned accusingly to Jinha.
I furrowed my brows. Why did she act like she cared when she hated Hyerin for as long as I can remember? Not to mention, she is the Mafia.
He became uneasy as several pairs of eyes fixed on him. "It wasn't me. I wasn't even near their room!"
"How do you explain waking up with so much blood on and around you?" I asked through gritted teeth.
"The Mafia put blood on me on purpose when I was asleep. Right, Kyungjun? You know that I'm a Citizen, right?"
Kyungjun looked down at his shoes before looking back up. "How would I know that? You came out covered in blood, that's evidence. Killing Hyerin was supposed to be easy because no one would have suspected you. But before you could change your mind, it was too late, and you got angry at yourself for killing the sister of your best friend's lover."
My heart thumped in my chest as I prepared for the worst.
And I was right.
Kyungjun avoided all eye contact with me. "Let's vote him out."
That seemed to send Jinha into a rage. He lunged at Kyungjun. "How can you call yourself a friend!"
Kyungjun rolled Jinha off him, stood up, and kicked him. "You fucking Mafia, you must have a death wish!"
Seungbin pulled him back and pushed him into me, causing me to stumble. I held Kyungjun by both his arms. He turned to face me, and I slightly shook my head, silently pleading for him to stop.
Yoonseo interjected, facing Kyungjun. "You don't know that for sure. How could you know that he is the Mafia?"
"Shut your mouth, and just do it,"Kyungjun said, pushing her back with his index finger.
He took out his phone. Junhee moved forward and snatched it out of his hand.
'Give it back.'
'If you keep acting like this, who do you think will get all the votes?'
Realization seemed to set onto Kyungjun as he stared around.
'Let's regroup at 11 pm. We will vote then.'
Kyungjun took back his phone from him and made his way out, kicking a few tables on his way out.
If the Mafia didn't kill him, his behaviour would definetly be the end of him.

3rd person's pov
Hara marched up the stairs to the rooftop, where she knew her lover would most definetly be.
And she was right. There he stood, with his back faced against her and a cigarette in his right hand.
He didn't hear her come closer by the way he flinched when she hugged him, only for him to relax once he realised it was her.
She kept hugging his back for a while, neither of the teens saying something.
'I can't lose you too Kyungjun, please don't do this to me.'
His heart ached when her voice cracked. 'I already lost Hyerin, if I lose you too I won't be able to do it. So please, don't do anything stupid.'
He finally turned around and for a split second, Hara could have sworn that she saw tears in his eyes, but that was gone as quick as it came.
He cupped her face. 'I will do whatever is stupid as long as it is to protect you Hara. You will always be my priority because I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something happened to you.'
