 Izuki's POV

The cement was so smooth but somehow so cold in the evening sun. Sliding open the door the house was spacious . I took off my shoes before stepping on the Tatami flooring. The house had an earthy feel inside despite being so spotless, with its visible wooden skeleton and both green and white flooring. The walls were white and baron but right aside the Shoji style door was a small wooden holder for shoes.

The house was filled with the scent of burning wood and herbs as well as just the fresher air coming from all the open windows. Warm lights spilled from above Pendants, matching the black out line of the windows with there black metal sheen. The kitchen and the dining room was confined on the first floor with a cedar based counter that had white marble placed on top and smoothed. The oven and fridge looked pretty new and in good condition which seemed to be what Sato was admiring. After the kitchen was a living room which held the purple and white flowers from the garden, Most of the others went to there rooms which I almost got last pick on.

I didn't get either of the two rooms on the top floor with the balcony but the one at the end of the left hall. The spaces in between room had wooden flooring but so did my room. The window despite its sheen was actually wood painted and resting on my window was a white vase filled with white and purple flowers. I think they were Crocuses but it's hard to remember.

The bed was just a mattress on a metal frame but right across from it positioned with one of its shorter sides almost touching the window were dark wood drawers, they had some engravings. Most looked purposeful but some were also just scratches, maybe from children?  I took out my pillows and mattress cover. We all started unpacking, I got done with my room mostly. It was late and I just left my clothes and All Mighty poster for the next day.

I decided that I would go help the others, Idda was right after all we all brang a different amount of stuff. Uraraka brang almost nothing so, we went to see Idda who was positioning all his glasses on a shelf. In the living room everyone agreed they were tired and bored Idda suggested that we all go to bed and waited for the next morning. We had whole week after all to settle in and there was nothing we'd miss. But when everyone turned in for the night. As we were all dead asleep, Everyone missed the lights flickering goodnight.

The next morning, I woke up drenched in sweat and with the lights flickering in my eyes. Causing them to dance with red and yellow splotches. Groggy and confused, I lifted up my head. Then slowly opened my eyes and looked at the clock in the hall. 6:34? I really didn't feel like getting up but there was just no way I was going to go back to sleep with 81 degrees sweating up my back. There was supposed to be air conditioning, maybe it had trouble reaching the second floor? I wondered as I changed into a white tank top and some green jean shorts. I brushed my curly hair out but it was already wet with sweat and sticking to my scalp. I hated when my hair looked soggy like this.

Going down I saw a parade of my future classmates looking more asleep than awake. "Damn it Idda." Kachann muttered under his breath as he stormed into the kitchen and dinning room where Idda was already playing with the  thermostat while Mineta seemed to be......helping? "Turn it the other way!" Mineta prodded making Idda sigh. "I've already tried that Mineta and I just rebooted it. It's stuck on one of the settings.

"Then get it the fuck unstuck." Kachann snapped pulling his hands through his hair which was somehow still perfectly sticking up. I think that kind of hair was a family thing but I didn't know. "There's nothing we can do, we need to call someone to come and fix it." Idda sighed, I'm sure he was just as annoyed as everyone else even though his tone remained calm and polite.  But then I noticed that the flickering had stopped. Then I was relieved. "I'll do it." Momo volunteered coming down the stairs with Jiro in suit. She already had her phone out, and started dialing a number.

However listening to the call, it was obvious that the owner had no idea what we were talking about and instead offered to call the heating company. But until they arrived there was no use, we'd have to deal with the heat. Momo felt guilty and Jiro hugged her from behind to comfort her. They were very cute back then and so supportive.  "That's  fine! We can still have a good time." Kaminera reassures us. "Let's just spend some time outside then! It's beautiful out there anyways.

So we spent most of the day outside playing game, at some point Jiro even took out one of her guitars and played for us. She was too shy to sing though or she was until Momo joined in. We all started singing the song she was playing and it was nice. Really nice. But as evening came around Momo and Sato started to prepare dinner. Most of us sat in the living room just steaming.  " It'd probably be cooler if you we took of some clothes." Mineta suggested slurping a cold drink. "What do you say girls? At least the first layer?"

"No way Mineta!" Momo scolded crossing her arms over her chest and Uraraka just said "Pass." As a reply, Jiro lightly (or I thought it was lightly) kicked Mineta off the coach. I bit back some laughter, Mineta always got what was coming to him when it came to the girls.

"Hey Mineta, Uraraka? Do you mind getting the silver wear from upstairs? Someone left the box." Idda asked seeing as Mineta might like something to do and Uraraka was always in for some heavy lifting. "Izuki could you-" Idda started as Mineta starred at Uraraka's chest. "On it. I'll help too don't worry Idda."  We all walked up stairs and searched, it ended up in the bathroom. How?  I guess yesterday's fight to explore had someone abandon it there.

But as I grabbed the plastic container, a prickle went up my arms and I finally noticed. It felt cold, like really cold. It made no sense,  a minute ago it felt like it was still somewhere in the 80's or 90's know it dropped to 19. Uraraka and Mineta who were still outside in the hall seemed frozen place. There eyes scattering across the halls, searching every door as if trying to look for something but not wanting to move a muscle. When I came to the hall with the plastic container it seemed like neither of them had noticed me.

"What is it?" I asked in a hush voice trying my best not to startle my  frightened friends. Uraraka retorted in a hasty voice "Don't you hear it?" Almost sounding alarmed. I listened and for a moment all I heard was the silence of the hallway and the clinking of plates downstairs. But then I did hear it and it was horrible. Rapid desperate breathing that almost sounded as though someone was reaching for air but couldn't pass any through there lungs. A choked voice saying things no one could understand. It sounded maybe male but not very deep at all.

I too stood still straining my ears to try to figure where the voice could have been coming from. But with no luck it almost sounded like it was somewhere in the hall even though that was impossible. We were the only ones up stairs. Idda and Momo we're preparing dinner with Jiro and Sato's help. Bakugo was on the coach in the living room and Tokoyami, and Kaminera were outside in the pool. There was no way Bakugo could get up here that fast or without me hearing. So what or who?

Uraraka moved first walking slowly down the hall with precise steps carefully treading the wood. I followed after her holding the silver wear in one hand and Mineta's trembling one in the other. "What?" He whispered. I had no answer so I still walked silently. Uraraka came to a door and slowly opened it gasping at what she found inside.

It was my room I quickly realized and stepped beside her to find one of my blankets on a metal bed post in the sun on fire. One my blankets were on fire! I dropped the container without hesitation and both me and Uraraka stomped it out.

Momo came up and saw us ushering us for dinner. We all looked at each other and noticed yet again. It was extremely warm and the halls were silent once again.
