Love

I just want to love you for a moment
We fit together so well, I don't know if there was ever a pair of bodies more suited for each other.
I've been here so many times.
My head rests perfectly at your shoulder.
Hands placed evenly apart on your chest.
My nose pressed into your neck.
I want your smell, I don't want to forget.

I don't look you in the eyes anymore because I don't want you to see me loving you this much.
I need these moments sometimes, and if you knew you might go away forever.
I don't want you to see how tears well up in my eyes when I'm kissing the pulse on your neck.
It just feels so familiar, it feels so right. Please forgive me, I can't help it. You just remind me that good is real.

I don't want to hear the tone in your voice change when you realize it, or watch you flinch away from my kisses when you know.
I don't know how to tell you it's okay for us to feel without expectation.
