It has been over a week since school started, and I've been living my life pretty peacefully so far. Nothing too extreme has happened and, for the most part, I've come to enjoy my time here as a student.

There were the few occasions where Matsushita, Sato and Karuizawa would start causing trouble. They had made a mission to try and get a reaction out of me, whether it was from attempting to scare me, annoy me or tease me. Every single one of their attempts would end in failure, but in spite of all that, their determination seemed to only grow stronger. Whilst I could have told them to stop, it looked like they were having fun, so I decided to let them carry on with the little game they created.

Even as of right now, whilst I was sitting down in the classroom staring out the window, I could see from the corner of my eye that the three girls were planning their next attack. Soon enough, I could see Sato walking up to me, trying her best to make as little noise as possible.

"Sato, do you need something?" I said, crushing her plans of sneaking up on me.

"W-what? How did you know i was here?" She said, shocked that she had been found out.

I looked to see that Karuizawa and Matsushita were giggling at Sato getting caught.

"You should try to talk a little quieter the next time you plan to sneak up on someone."

"Damn it! I need to be more careful next time. I'll be sure to get you next time, Ayanokoji-kun." Sato said, still full of determination.

"I wish you luck." I replied, watching as Sato then went back to her seat because Chabashira had entered the room and began the lesson.

Throughout the last week, it has become regular practice to see people not listening as Chabashira was speaking or people openly using their phones, sleeping, talking to those around them and other things that you would not expect from students considered to be 'elite'. The reason for this behavior was because of how lenient the school seemed to be. Not once did Chabashira scold anyone for their bad behavior, but rather, she would continue on with the lesson as normally, as if nothing was happening.

I found this weird, as Chabashira looked like someone who would take their job seriously, yet she would never try to reprimand people for their behavior. I could, however, see that she always looked mildly annoyed, maybe even a little disappointed every time she saw this type of behavior. While she hid it extremely well, I was able to catch that look of hers every so often.

Why she decides to ignore people's poor behavior is unknown, but if I had to guess, then she is probably under obligation from the school to do so. In any normal school, a teacher wouldn't allow such disrespectful conduct, but this school is anything but normal and from Chabashira's speech at the beginning of the month, that much was clear. Her speech sounded like something from a script where she intentionally left out information most likely for us to figure out ourselves, and if that's the case, then this school is likely to be hiding something under everything they say.

But back to my classmates' unnatural behavior, it provides some evidence to my theory of there being some kind of hierarchy between the four classes. It doesn't mean I'm 100 percent correct, since I don't know what it's like in other classes, but it's still something.

I decided to stop thinking about that and tried my best to listen to Chabashira as she was teaching us about the early modern history of Japan. It quickly ended in me looking out the window for the remainder of the lesson.

It's now the end of school, and I was planning on going back to my dorm as Hirata had to go to his football club and Sato, Matsushita and Karuizawa said that they were going to have a 'girls night'. Whatever that meant, I didn't know, and I wasn't planning on figuring out either.
