I couldn't help but watch our reflections as our swords crashed into one another. Creating orange sparks across the arena.

Venomshanks rapier suddenly oozed with green acid. Dripping his blade and onto my skin. It burned as it melted the top layer of my arm, but I didn't dare back away. Backing away from your opponent leaves a moment of opportunity for your opponent. One that could be fatal.

Now of course this was just practice. Venomshank probably wouldn't hurt him to hard if he did decide to back away to regain some energy.

Unexpectedly, Venomshank pushed into me. Causing me to fall back onto the sandy floors of the battlefield. His weapon held up high as he went in for another attack.

Correction- practice doesn't mean crap. He'll be at my ass anyway.

I quick roll out of the way, the tip of the rapier barely grazing my cheek. Drawing nothing but a single drop of blood. Eh, it's not that important.

Getting back into my feat I lunged into God. Hitting the side of his stomach.

Of course the clothing of a god wouldn't tear so easily to a mortals weapon. Hence Venomshank's outfit was unscathed. Let alone even have a bruise from his one slaught of attacks.

They went back to trading attacks back and forth, left and right. A mix of fencing and feinting. A wonderful dance between father and son as they both continued the session.

Soon enough, Venomshank seemed to have feel as though I had enough for today and that I could go rest else where.

"You did well my child. I have seen visible improvement in your sword ship skills." With a graceful twirl at the handle of the sword, Venomshank flung any acidic residue before sheathing his rapier for it's next use. Wherever the acid landed, the sand melted beneath it. "You may go now, Sword. I trust you will arrive on time for your next training session"

"You got it! See you later dad!"

And with the nod of my head, I turned away and walked off.

Now how was I going to spend the rest day?..

With Rocket of course!

My best friend forever! My other half! My bud... My dearest love.

Someone who I'll cherish. Someone who I will vow to protect. Always.

No matter what adventure I go on he'll always be with me, by my side. The paths we've crossed have made our bond beyond unbreakable!

Or at least. That's how I see it.

Maybe it was stupid to crush on your best friend. But that's okay, he doesn't need to know. I'm content with anything as long as I have him in my life!...

Though as I kept walking, (Probably towards the nearest bus station to Crossroads) I couldn't help but ask if I really was content with this. Rocket was my friend. But I wanted to be more than a friend. So much more. More than a best friend. I want him to love me as I love him... And I love him, So much.

He stepped up onto the the stairs of the bus and took a seat by the window. Looking up at the blue sky. Reminding him of Rocket.

Arriving at Zuka's shop, I gave a loud hefty knock on the wooden door. Nearly knocking of the hinges as sawdust slurred out. It stung and I really needed to stop doing that-

The door knob jangled a bit before turning.

A familiar prosthetic metal arm was the first thing to be seen.
