Blackrock's weather was always cold. The ice would freeze over any large body of water that you would need some jagged blade to cut through just to get over the frozen layer of ice. Even then you were met with a small hole, a hole that if you pulled any relatively large fish it wouldn't fit and you would have to set it free, wasting time and the little bait you had.
Horrible for fishing is what most would think. What mortals would think.
But not for them!
They had always wanted to go fishing in new environments. Blackrock included. They felt it was time to expand their pallet, get a taste of the struggles of other fishing spots. So why not start with the most chaotic one?
They had found some random frozen lake in the middle of the faction. It took a while because not only had the lake frozen over. But snow was piled on top of it. They had to ask residents if they even had a lake to begin with. And that took a while since most screamed after seeing him running the other direction before they even got an answer.
After a bit of convincing, lying, oh and so much threatening. They were given a location at last! Though it took a while to remove all the snow from the lake (not really they just asked Windforce for help) they finally were met with the frozen ice layer that he would have to cut through.
We could always just smash the ice. That would be convenient... To convention. They wanted to make this harder than it should be. For fun!
So what did they do? Take a guess.
...
They got down on the ground, onto the ice. And used their fingernail to slowly etch into the ice. No, they weren't going to use their sword. That was again, too easy. Besides, we wouldn't want to accidentally turn this lake's water into goop! That would kill every fish residing here.
Slowly, their sharp nail scraped against the ice. Flakes started to form beneath their finger, maybe they could make shaved ice later. Hence the laid down on the ice, head sideways as they watched them self carve into the ice.
Slowly...
Slowly..
Slowly.
"Hello?" A small voice called out
"Oh?" They sat up, looking around to see some of the snow pile together to shape a rather small fairy-like figure. As the snow clumped together to create a perfect replica of who it was creating, the snow suddenly had exploded into a bunch of little ice fragments and the one who came from that explosion was the of the swords themselves. Icedagger. "We were not expecting your company."
"Hi Darkheart! I didn't think you'd ever come to visit!" The fairy gave such a sweet smile towards them. His wings fluttered as he gently flew next to them. "What are you doing"
"We're fishing." They gestured to the hardly scraped surface of the ice. There were still shavings from before.
"How..?" Icedagger was confused. How could one fish without the proper set up. This didn't exactly seem ideal at all.
"Well mortals tend to make a hole in the ice so that their line can enter into the water. Hence what we are doing now. Carving a hole." They said while going back to using their nail to indent into the ice. More ice shavings piling up between untouch crevices.
"Oouh! Can I help?" He innocently asked.
"Sure, we don't see why not!" They exclaimed. Company was always nice to have whilst trying to carve a hole into a frozen lake.
