For years Juliette has done everything to please her parents. She is constantly training or working out to become a peacekeeper. She sees Jackson whenever she's not doing that, without her family knowing. Jackson Ivory is the love of her life and has been for a long time. But he and her parents can never know that because it would change everything. She does know if she ever had the opportunity to be with him she would take it. But alas, peacekeepers cannot be in relationships or have children or so many dumb rules Juliette wishes she could just break and be a normal teenager. Well, as normal as you can be in Panem.

Jackson comes from a wealthy family and is the oldest of 3 younger brothers. He constantly gets in fights as he is one of the strongest and angriest boys for his age. That's what he tells Juliette but the truth is that he fights the people who talk bad about Juliette for being forced to be a peacekeeper. He also fights the people who make fun of his brother Marcus for being weak. Those 2 people are the only ones that matter to him and without them, he wouldn't know where he'd be right now.
