Everyone found the drive-in a little boring. We haven't seen Tina this entire time. I was sitting next to tony and Cheryl. Vic was off talking to some more girls at the car next to us. I knew it was bothering Cheryl but there wasn't anything I could do to stop him.
Cheryl crosses her arms, an annoyed look appears on her face. She turns to me and begins whispering in my ear.
Cheryl: God Dixie! Do you see him right now?
I glance back over at Vic, I turn back to Cheryl and nod my head. I do, but he's just being himself. You know him.
Cheryl sighs. I see Tony also looking at Vic.
Tony: I don't understand how he does it...
Dixie: Does what?
Tony: Talks to just about everyone. Girls just dig him.
Cheryl grows more frustrated hearing Tonys words, she groans. I pat her back reassuringly.
Dixie: Cheryl maybe just tell him how you feel. maybe that'll make him stop being the way he is.
Tony leans over to see Cheryl and her obviously gone state. Even he can tell shes in love.
Cheryl: He's fast... he's a total catch though. And hes right in my reach! Don't y'all think?
Tony nods his head. Bobbie walks back towards us and glances at Vic.
Bobbie: He's cooking huh?
Cheryl's eyebrows furrow at Bobbies words. He raises his hands and mocks a surrender.
Bobbie: God, don't get your panties in a bunch.
Cheryl: Shut your trap Bobbie!
Tony has this... smirk on his face. I glance at him and can't help but smile a little. I elbow him playfully.
Tony: I'm gonna split guys.
Cheryl who's knocking some sense into Bobbie hears him.
Cheryl: Bye Tony! See ya!
Bobbie waves his arm, we can't tell if he's waving by or for help.
Tony stands up and dusts his pants off. He looks in the rear view mirror of the car and touches his hair up. He looks over to me.
Tony: Uh, you staying?
Dixie: Oh I dunno. You're gonna go home, alone?
Tony shrugs his shoulders. He's clearly being more talkative than earlier.
Tony: Maybe you could uh, tag along?
Dixie: Oh yeah definitely!
Dixie stands up and fixies her hair too. I follow Tony. We stop at a nearby café, it is right between hood and JD territory so we just both go. We walk in.
A boy whistles at me as I walk by. I groan and look at Tony.
JD boy: Oh hey baby...
I glance behind me before me and Tony go and sit down at a table.
Dixie: God I hate guys sometimes.
Tony: Gosh I didn't think I was that bad.
He smirks playfully and we look at each other.
Dixie: Oh come on you know what I mean.
