As I entered the airport, I looked back at my brother and my best friend, who were waving goodbye with big smiles on their faces. It's like they're more excited than I am, even though I'm the only one going on this trip.
I smiled back at them and waved my hand high in the air as I shouted a loud 'I'll miss you' to them. With that, I walked further into the airport, ready to board my flight to begin this adventure.
My eyes wandered around the airport, noticing how people were with their families and friends, enjoying their time together but me, I'm alone but at least not lonely, for now.
My feet continued to drag me to get my boarding pass while I scrolled through my phone to send a text message to Ji-hoon, my other brother, that I had arrived safely at the airport.
He called me yesterday and asked me to keep him updated on the trip, and I promised him to do so, knowing that he must be worried.
I smiled, clicked the send button on my phone and just as I looked up, my eyes widened as I suddenly bumped into a man who was running hastily in my direction.
Great.
I groaned loudly as this man landed right on top of me, his face in the crook of my neck while his entire weight was on my body, making me feel suffocated. I heard him muttering out some curses, surprisingly in Korean, but all I could focus on was how people around us, were starting at us.
With a lot of effort, the guy got up from me and reached out to help me get up on my feet as well. As soon as I was up, I dusted the dirt off my dress and looked at the man who was now busy collecting our things from the floor.
"I'm so sorry, Miss. I wasn't looking." He said, handing me my phone, passport and other belongings.
"It's okay. Please be careful next time."
"I will be." He smiled at me once before bowing in respect and walking in the opposite direction.
I sighed and walked forward to get my boarding pass, it was almost time for my flight.
South America. That's my first destination.
I don't know why I chose to go to South America first, but I'm going to travel to all possible places, so why not start from there!
I'm going straight to Colombia - El Dorado International Airport and from there, I'll figure out what to do next.
As I boarded the plane, I took my seat next to the window and looked out at the runway. As I did so, I let my thoughts take over, as I always do when I am alone.
This time, my thoughts took me back to the guy who crashed into me earlier. Now that I think about it, he was really handsome.
He had a small, sweet face with a perfect, angular nose. His big doe eyes were filled with innocence as he apologized to me. The way his thin, pink lips moved when he spoke and the way his fluffy, black bangs that covered his forehead moved when he bowed to me, it was all just too beautiful to ignore.
