They had made it to their destination, The Barrens.

Lainey carefully put her bike aside.

"Come on Harrison, what's taking you so long" Richie complained, as he made his way to the others.

Lainey rolled her eyes.

"Oh shut up, I'm coming" she groaned.

Stan's ears perked, as he heard the familiar voice.

His cheeks slightly turning a light shade of pink.

"Stan we brought your girlfriend, she's been all over me and-" Richie was cut off by Eddie nudging him.

Lainey stood beside Bill, not sure of what to do.

"Oh wait, Stan is it? I've got something for you" Lainey smiled, before handing him his kipa.

"Oh, thanks" he spoke as he awkwardly smiled.

Lainey just winked before walking toward Eddie.

Stanley stood there, his face a hot mess.

How could a girl make him feel all these different things at once?

It was crazy to him.

He watched as Lainey effortlessly, showed her kindness to others.

The way she was so gentle, made his heart flutter.

Laniey stood there with her arms crossed, as she carefully stepped in the water.

Feeling her shoes get soaked, made her cringed.

"That's grey water" Eddie spoke up.

"Ew you're kidding" Lainey responded, with disgust written all over her face.

"What the fuck is grey water" Richie asked.

"It's basically just piss and shit, so im just telling you" Eddie continued.

Lainey furrowed her brows before getting out of the water.

"Doesn't smell like caca, to me senior" Richie said, as he sniffed a random stick.

"Dude gross" Lainey almost gagged, as she stood in between Eddie and Stan.

The girl decided to sit this one out, as the boys all explored for a bit.

"Guys!" Bill called out.

Lainey stood up, and headed over to see what was up.

Bill held a shoe in hand, a flashlight in the other.

"Don't tell me that's" Stanley spoke, his voice cracking.

The girl shook her head at the thought of whoever's shoe it belonged to.

Maybe someone just randomly lost their shoe, y'know?

Lainey's brows furrowed as she awkwardly stood still.

She walked towards her bike.

"I- uhm think I'm gonna get going" she spoke.

The boys looked at her before Richie spoke up.

"How do you think Betty feels, running around with only one fricking shoe on" he said.

"Too soon" Lainey spoke, before saying her goodbyes to everyone.

Stanley stood still, and admired the girl as she rode off.
