Chases POV -

I woke up with Y/n on my mind. She's obviously dating my brother and it wouldn't work. But if I had to choose her or the sun.. Id be one nocturnal son of gun.

I got ready and sluggishly brought all of my things downstairs and waited at the door for my Mom and Mike to come on.

Once my Mom came downstairs she told me it was time to leave. "Where's Mike?" I asked. "He's feeling a little sick and I know he just doesn't want to go but I don't feel like arguing," She said, telling me to pick up my things and take them to the car.

"Oh and because Mike isnt going, someone's taking your place in your group. You're going to be taking Mikes place and you will be with Y/n and her and Mikes friends," She said, walking towards the garage.

Id be with Y/n?

Y/n POV -

After we drove about an hour to the campsite, I grabbed my bags and got out of the car. "Bye, Mom! I love you!" I told her, giving her a kiss on the cheek and a hug. "Bye, Y/n! Im gonna miss you. Samanthas car is over there and she should be singing you in and stuff! I really have to go!" She said pulling off.

I kind of wanted to go home already.

I was about to turn around to go to Sam's car but I bumped into someone. "Oh my gosh, Im so sorry!" I said, looking up to see one of my old friends, Yonna. "Hi, Y/n!" She said giving me a hug. "Yonna! How've you been?" I asked her as she started talking.

It had been minutes and all I asked her was how she'd been. I was reminded why I stopped being friends with her so long ago.

"Y/n!" I heard Sam yell. I never knew that I would ever be so happy that an adult was yelling at me. "Sorry, Yonna! I have to go," I said, running away. "I already signed you guys in. Go play with Shawn and Chase before its time for the parents to leave," Sam said, giving me a hug. "Shawns here?" I asked. "Yeah, he heard about the park and wanted to come and play before you and Chase would be going into the camp," Sam said.

"What do you mean 'you and chase'? Mike isn't here?" I asked her. She shook her head no then told me to go before it was time for camp to officially start.

I scanned around to see Shawn and Chase. There were groups of teens around. Although I am one, Im so scared of them. I slowly walked up to them and greeted them. I took a few pictures with Shawn and chase knowing I wouldn't see Shawn for a few months either.

We then heard a bunch of camp counselors screaming at us to come and listen to what they had to say. "Bye Shoonie!" I said to Shawn, waving goodbye to him. "C'mon, Chase. They sound pretty serious about these rules," I said, laughing. I grabbed Chase's hand without thinking and now all of a sudden we were holding hands while walking towards all of the counselors.

I looked up to see Chase looking at the fact that we were holding hands and I immediately let go. "We're just friends," I said to him, looking away.

"Y/n, who said we weren't?" Chase said. I could see him looking at me through my peripheral vision. I just embarrassed my self so bad. My heart was once again racing as my mind filled with thoughts.

"Hello?? Put your phone in the bag!" A man was yelling at me. I must've zoned out. "You dont have to yell," I said, harshly placing my phone in the bag. "No one gets there phone unless we leave camp grounds," The man said, walking off. "Y/n, come on," Chase said, sounding frustrated.

As I was walking behind Chase, I tripped over a rock. I swear I just keep embarrassing myself but at least I didn't fall. Chase looked over at me to ask if I was okay. "We are just friends" He said, holding my hand and smiling at me. He walked me all the way to the lake while still holding my hand.

He cleared his throat and I looked up at him.

He then looked over at me. We stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever. He then leaned in for a kiss and there was no surprise that I kissed him back. 20 seconds in and being with Chase just felt so right.

We then heard a loud whistle in our ears. "You two! Strike one. We don't allow any of that at this camp." We heard a guy say. We both looked up to see a guy wearing an ugly camp uniform. I furrowed my eyebrows and tried to hold in my laugh.

"Hey aren't you Mikes girlfriend? and arent you Chase? Mikes little brother!?" He said. I then got a closer look at him. He was one of Mikes best friends.

and because he was working at the camp, he was allowed to be on his phone which he pulled out and started typing on. I then started walking away. I had made a huge mistake and couldn't even tell Mike how I felt about Chase myself. He was going to have to hear it through someone else.

I didn't want to go home anymore. This was going to be the longest summer ever. Just thinking about what I was going to have to tell Mike made me feel sick.
