chapter four:
it's time to grow up

MONDAY : November 10th, 2027
the drama club farewell

Somehow everyone had managed to get this far, despite them all nearly dying and being hurt so often they were still here. Of course a few members were long gone, some dead and others technically on the run. But that didn't matter, because the past truly was behind them now, graduation for the most part was awkward. No one said anything, or even walked down the long hallways of the high school one last time to remember the good ole days.

They had grown up, got over all the bullshit that happened to them inside the drama club and finally went their own ways. That night was the last they saw of one another, half smiles and broken eyes as they all hugged one last time. Then everything was gone, the club, the members and even the memories of what shaped them all together.

Vivian moved out of Claire's apartment and got her own, despite focusing on college she did agree to be a part of the broadway production. Only if she had a few scenes to work on at once, she never went to the theater, didn't meet any of the cast unless it was a reading. Then towards the last few months of planning she stopped going altogether and worked on her lines alone and remembered the stage set up by photos.

She had gotten over her anxiety of ghostface and the endless stares she would get every so often whenever she'd walk along New York without a scarf. It was just a scar, nothing she had to worry about anymore. Ghostface was gone, and even if Nadia and Gwen showed back up somehow, she would be ready.

Truth was Vivian hated acting, every second of it made her wanna cry. She wasn't sure why but she did tell Claire after the first few weeks of the show she was going to ditch it altogether. She would focus on college and help animals like she truly wants. The sad part was, she probably wouldn't talk to any of the club again once she gets that far in her life. She didn't see herself being friends with them forever and it was painful to even think about.

She was a brand new person and they would just get in the way of her healing process. She didn't even know why she agreed to be a part of the production anyways, she didn't want to relive her past. All anyone cared about was ghostface, she didn't want her entire life to be known for one tragedy. That was just utterly depressing and she knew she could do better.

The first step of healing was moving on or maybe just accepting what happened altogether and Vivian would do whatever it took. Even if it took her a thousand years to truly heal from ghostface. It was just a mask, a silly little costume that one of her friends wore. It didn't have to scare her anymore, it was fake.

Alexandra liked to imagine she would marry Claire if the time was right, but given all the girl focused on was the production she didn't even bother asking. She knew when the time was right and Claire truly moved on with this part of her life. They'd settle down and just relax for once, no more scripts or acting. Not to mention costumes or endless orders of coffee.
