Q- Why didn't Adwait tell Nitya the real reason he didn't come back? It was foolish of him to keep it to himself. Career barriers can pop up at any time, but deciding what to do about it—that was her choice to make, not his.

A- Absolutely right, and that's the key reason I included this scene. Adwait's tendency to silently sacrifice on Nitya's behalf is toxic. No matter how noble the intention, she has the right to know every part of what's happening. Keeping things hidden, even with good intentions, only leads to unnecessary suffering. This is a trait of his that needs serious improvement, and that's exactly why I brought it into focus. In my view, he was wrong, plain and simple, regardless of his reasons. Period.

Q- Adwait asking for permission regarding the fake marriage is just the bare minimum. Now that he's learned about the finance thing, his trust in Nitya wavers. But what about him living with Niharika for four long years? Where was his commitment then?

A- Adwait asking for marriage might be seen as the bare minimum, but for me, it's more than that. He could've easily kept it secret, especially since it wasn't a real marriage—no documents, no rituals, just a word given to Niharika and his parents. But he chose to inform Nitya. I don't have the perfect word to describe it, but it's a significant step from him. Maybe not the standard we'd hope for, but still worth acknowledging.

As for the engagement, Adwait isn't hurt by the fact that Nitya was engaged; he's hurt because she kept it hidden. Even when they were in touch, she didn't reveal it, and that betrayal of trust cuts deeper than the engagement itself.

Q- Adwait stayed with Niharika for four whole years—three years might be justified by whatever reasons he had, but what about that last year? He could have easily parted ways during that time.

A- Adwait never lived with Niharika in the same house, neither in London nor during one year stay in India. This will be clarified in the chapters themselves.

As for why he didn't break it off with Niharika, it all boiled down to Nitya. He never told Niharika or her father about Nitya because he was scared they'd go after her and ruin her career out of spite. And honestly, he wasn't in any position to protect her if that happened. The same reasoning applied to the job opportunity in France.

Q- Was Adwait hesitant to end the fake marriage with Niharika?

A- Adwait was never hesitant about ending the fake marriage with Niharika—not for a moment.

Q- Why didn't they keep in contact with each other during those four years? They could have stayed in touch secretly without their parents knowing.

A- That's a major spoiler I'm not ready to reveal just yet. But let me share another angle. You might have forgotten Adya? They were, in fact, in contact through her. They were aware of what was happening in each other's lives. However, they never met face-to-face. The reason? They prioritized their parents, and trust me, that was the biggest mistake they made.

Q- What was the point of the fake marriage? Adwait could have found a job somewhere, earned everything from scratch, and moved to another country.

A- Finding a job in India isn't easy, especially when your business has failed—no one's going to hire someone whose own business went under. Moreover, Adwait's parents were in urgent need of medical care, and he needed money desperately, even just for basic necessities like shelter. A regular job wouldn't have provided the financial support he needed so quickly. Most importantly, he had invested heavily in Niharika's father's project and felt he had every right to claim what was rightfully his, no matter the cost.
