Before you dive into the chapter, I have a small request. Lately, I've been wondering if I sometimes over-explain scenes in my writing. Do you feel that I go into too much unnecessary detail? If so, could you point out specific sections or scenes where this happens? Otherwise, after reading this chapter, you could let me know if there are any moments where the explanation felt drawn out or made the reading experience less engaging. Thank you!

Nitya shifts restlessly as the relentless beeping of her phone disrupts her sleep once again. She buries her ears beneath the pillow to block out the irritating sound, but her sleep-addled mind begins to stir as memories of last night flood back. She springs upright and scans the empty bedroom.

"Adwait!" Nitya calls out, but silence lingers in response. She squints through the soft morning light, searching for her phone on the bedside nightstand, only to discover a note sitting beside it.

Good morning, Jaan.
I tried waking you, but you just wouldn't budge, so I didn't push it. I'm taking Adya to her painting class. I've got some company stuff later, but I'll be back this evening. If you decide to stick around here, that's fine otherwise I'll swing by your place instead. Have to admit, I'm missing the thrill of climbing that balcony again.

A warm blush rises to her cheeks as she recalls their past adventures.

Oh, and I've left breakfast for you. Eat it. Don't even think about walking out of here without touching it. Consider this your only warning.
I love you.

Placing the letter back down, she checks her call logs and responds to each missed call. She had resolved last night to talk to Adwait first thing in the morning, but it seems fate has other plans, and she'll have to wait a bit longer.

With a sigh, she pushes aside her disappointment and decides to freshen up for work.

"Is there anything left from today's schedule?" Adwait asks his assistant.

"No, sir," Disha replies as she glances at her notes.

"Alright then. Finish up the rest of the work. I'm heading out," Adwait rises from his chair and yanks off his blazer.

Just as he is about to move, the phone in his pocket buzzes. His mother's name flashes across the screen.

"Hello? What is it, Mom?"

"Adwait, wherever you are, come home. Now." Click. The line goes dead.

He stares at the phone like it has betrayed him. His mind is already spinning scenarios, none of them good. But he doesn't waste time. Shoving the phone back into his pocket, he strides out of the building.
