Happy ending.

Taehyung snickered at the word muttered by Jungkook. Two words spoken in the voice that laced itself in the streams of Taehyung's floating thoughts, growing sensations in his chest and the way his heart responded to every train of anticipation that ran itself over the tracks of his life. Jeon Jungkook was a name that not even a single page of his life wasn't accustomed to. Even every turning page held his essence, Jungkook's essence. Every page of his life held the man, even every turning page looked forward to it.

Forward to the mention of the painter, the reason of the existence of those pages. And, it was only fair, Taehyung had always told himself, it was only fair to give the credit of each and every page to the man who was the main reason they were there infront of him in the first place. But, that reason entering his life one night this way, he hadn't seen it coming.

While sitting in his bed, with Jungkook just seven stairs down from him, Taehyung still found it hard to accept. Accept and wrap his head around Jungkook's sudden and firm appearance in his life, and when it came to adding determination that he saw in his eyes, he could tell it was something that could defeat the solidness and strength of the largest stone in the world.

Determination.

His determination was standing strong over the faith. The faith that found it's roots from the poetry books he read of Taehyung's and also the novels. The one thread that connected all of the novels and the poetry book was one, Taehyung's belief that he would die in the house of loneliness. Jungkook had grasped that connecting string and let it guide him here.

To Taehyung's concealed serenity confined sanctuary.

Taehyung had left the room as soon as Jungkook had said those words with eyes that screamed determination and feet locked over his wooden floor as if the house itself was holding him there. Holding him, fastening his presence there and doing everything it could to not let the man leave. Deep down it was something Taehyung couldn't deny either. As quoted by Jungkook himself,

How can a surface where my name was taken countless times, where the pages filled with the essence of my existence were splattered, where every place, every corner, every wall holds my name in one way or the other, how can it treat me like an outsider?

It was the truth. Jungkook was taken in by his home with wide open arms, and the way the boy had looked like upon entering and sitting there, his image had been a gut wrenching reminder of reality. A reality where he knew it was temporary and there could be nothing he could do to prevent it.

As Kim Taehyung's poem,

You only fall in love once,

For the heart in your chest is one.

Once craved by the name it beats for,

It finds only one lane to run.

With no destiny in mind,

No clue, no home to find,

One name, one love, one heart,

Only once in a lifetime do you

find to hand over your heart.

Sometimes it takes a smile,

Sometimes one touch of love.

For once in life, it was paint for me,

A canvas to love.

Behind locked doors,

one picture stays in his heart.

When he loves her,

only his name is whispered by my heart.
