Meeting the Next Head Captain

THIRD POV
After that day Asta and Yuno began training like their lives depended on it. They understand what the letters meant by "Captains" but they got the idea. And their eyes were now opened to a whole new field of understanding. They began to see things couldn't see before. To make things more confusing, when they tried to unsheathe the swords they wouldn't budge. Something was preventing them from pulling out the swords.

Asta: GAAAHHH!!!

He used his new sword to chop down a tree. Ever since that fight with Revchi, he's been craving that sensation again. But for now, he can't let Yuno get ahead of him again. Slowly but surely he will become the Wizard King.

Yuno: I won't let Asta outdo me.

Yuno wasn't going to take this lightly. Focusing on perfecting his wind magic as well as training with his grimoire. Ever since he opened that box he realized the different strengths between them. What Asta didn't have in magic he more than made up for in physical strength. Yuno had great control over his magic and a great amount of it but he lacked the freakish endurance that Asta did. He needed to work on his body as well as his magic.

They had six months to train for the Magic Knights Exam and they weren't going to waste a single second of the time they had.

Two-Three Months
Asta and Yuno continued to train diligently as the deadline became closer and closer, soon they would have to leave for the Capital which would be a few days' trip in itself. Asta worked to get more accustomed to the weight of his new sword, one fight didn't make it so he could you it right off the bat again. While he had intuition he lacked experience so that was his main flaw at the moment. Yuno had trained with his grimoire. He went over every spell and committed each one to memory. He refused to let Asta get the upper hand.

Yuno: I need to get stronger.

Three Months Later
It was now time for the boys to embark on their journey to the capital. They put on their coats and began to journey towards the Capital.

It wasn't difficult per se. It was just long. Whatever obstacles tried to get in their way were immediately taken care of. They made it just in time as the exams were today.

(Ok we will be skimming past certain scenes. Mainly because several don't hold that much importance at the moment.)

Now finally making it to the exam.

Asta: Wow, look at all these people!

Suddenly he was attacked by a flock of birds. These were mana-sensing birds, they could sense the mana of everyone here, and depending on how much you had they would get close to you. Yuno didn't have a single one near him.

Asta: Yuno you cool jerk!

The opposite could be said for Asta, to them he was free-eats.

Asta: AAHH!!! Get away from me you damn pests!!!

He tried running away from the birds but wasn't looking where he was going. That's when he bumped into a big guy with a cigarette.

Yami: Huh? Hey kid, you got a death wish or something?

Asta:*thinking* Ah crap I totally bumped into that guy!! Wait calm down, Asta doesn't judge a book by its cover maybe he's a nice guy.

Asta:*outloud* Man you look really old for your age, life must've fought for you huh? haha
