"Mr Yan, there is something I need to inquire about."
Yan Wushi looked slightly amused and perhaps a little intrigued.
"Go on."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"That story you told me earlier... were you talking about someone I know..?"
Yan Wushi grinned slyly.
"Oh A-Qiao, you know them very well."The answer made him hesitate slightly. "You're beginning to worry me."
Yan Wushi laughed, " But A-Qiao!" He teased. "I wouldn't lie!"
"..."
Shen Qiao ignored him and thought over his words- despite them being perhaps a little worrying to him- unsure of what to think. This was clearly something of importance, yet... he no idea where to even begin.
He mentally groaned at Yan Wushi's habit to make everything some sort of riddle.
When he thought of it, Yan Wushi did have quite a few annoying and often frustrating hatbits and hobbies. For example, teasing him, making simple questions into riddles, then leaving as soon as he figured out part of his riddle like questions...
Then, out of what felt like thin air, it made sense.
The realisation hit Shen Qiao right in the face.
Oh my God.... There is no way..
Lots of Yan Wushi's hobbies would involve him in one way or another... whether it was teasing him... or making him listen to all of Yan Wushi's stories in a hope he would figure out the message that lay hidden deep in secret behing those carefully chosen words...
And the more he tried to convince himself he was wrong about this new guess... the more likely this possibility felt...
He wasn't sure if he really wanted to tell Yan Wushi who he suspected he was talking about...But in the end he decided on asking, as that was one of the many reasons why he had tried to find him right after he left the shop... and why he left in such a hurry.
Yan Wushi was still grinning at Shen Qiao, finding it amusing to watch him mentally debate his words, whilst getting completely drenched in the rain.
Shen Qiao paused for a moment longer then finally spoke.
"Mr Yan... please don't tell me that you were talking about me in your story...?"
He asked, unsure of how Yan Wushi would respond.
Yan Wushi had a teasing smile painted on his face. He took a step forward, towards Shen Qiao. Then, he lightly grasped Shen Qiao's chin with one hand, lifting it so he could look at him better.
"A-Qiao, you make that sound as if it's a bad thing!" He said in a teasing tone- still gripping Shen Qiao's chin.
That reply almost immediately confirmed Shen Qiao's suspicions.
He tried to remove Yan Wushi's grip over his chin, but Yan Wushi only tightened his grip as his attempts failed, so he reluctantly let it be.
"Ah- Mr Yan... what are you doing?"
He indicated at his hand gripping his chin."Getting a better look at you."
He said lazily, his grip on Shen Qiao's chin remained firm, but loosened slightly."ah"
