Pancakes for Dinner

As soon as Joe saw what his mom had made him for dinner, he didn't want to eat it. His mother was trying to give him pancakes. At dinner time!! Pancakes are food for breakfast, not dinner. She poured syrup on the pancakes. The syrup was like a slimy goo, on top of soft and fluffy clouds of pancakes. Joe gagged as soon as she added the butter on top of his pancakes. Right when his mom saw his face, she reacted. "What's wrong with pancakes for dinner?", she said. "I don't want to eat breakfast foods for dinner! Pancakes are for breakfast!". Joe's mom looked at him right in the eye. "Joe, just try it. Just because it's dinner time, does not mean the pancakes taste different from breakfast", she responded. "Alright, I'll try it." Joe replied. Joe grabbed his fork that was sharper than a razor blade, and ate the pancakes. His eyes lit up the room from how bright they were. "Wow! Pancakes are amazing especially at dinner time!!!" He said. His mother replied with "See? I told you. Now go enjoy those pancakes because you deserve them!" Joe ate the rest of his pancakes, while his mother watched him. Joe later described this dinner as "The best dinner I've ever had in my life".
