Taehyung sat alongside you, holding your hands on the hospital bed. He was staring at you, silently drowning in his deep grief. You've been unconscious for a long time, and he's been waiting for you to open your seat in the same position since the doctor left after treating you.

Soon, he noticed your hands and eyelashes moving, which startled him. He stood up and said, "Oh, Y/N, you woke up? How are you?" He enquired in a concerned tone of voice, and you simply nodded, asking for drink as your throat dried out as if you had been thirsting for days.

He didn't waste time and handed you the bottle to drink immediately. He helped you sit, made you drink, and then lay you down when you groaned lightly, causing him to ask, "What's wrong? Are you still experiencing discomfort or something?"

His eyes were filled with concern, and you lay down again, feeling the pain in your lower abdomen, without responding. You swallowed, barely blinking your eyes and exhaled an uneasy breath.

Y/N: "T-taehyun-ng, d-did we really—" Your voice came out broken in a whisper with sorrow, looking up at Celling with tearful eyes. You were already aware of the situation yet asked to confirm your fear while praying that you had just had a horrible dream.

Taehyung: "We'll talk later, Y/N, so now just rest.
Tell me if you have any discomfort." His voice wasn't soft or firm but weak. He forced himself to grin, assure you, and give strength, however, his weak voice gave you the answer. You had to reluctantly close your eyes.

He gulped and watched your eyeballs moving under the eyelids as tears rolled through the corners of your eyes, clenching his heart. You parted your lips to suck breath and not let out hard sobs from your mouth as the pain was unbearable.

It was not physical pain, but mental pain, which would be traumatic for every person in the world who loses their child, especially a mother. It does not matter whether the child was born or not. Sorrow is sorrow.

Taehyung licked his dried out lips, blinking his eyes and restraining his tears, while holding your hands on your stomach, feeling emptiness. It was filled with love and hope until last night, as a blessing in your empty life, giving joy and opportunity for both you and him.

Y/N: "We've lost our blessing, Taehyung. We've lost it." You tightened your grip on his hands and sniffed, silently crying. He embraced you from the side and said,

Taehyung: "It's fine, Y/N. It's okay, we have each other." He spoke softly, kissing your forehead and stroking your arms to calm you down.

Y/N: "Why? When God had to take it away from us, then why did he give it to us? Why did he always give us the happiness that he had to take away from us like this?" Your lips trembled, asking as he gave no answer to it.

Taehyung: "Hmm, maybe God has some other plan for us. Shhh, don't cry. I'm here for you." When he said he had tears in his eyes that he was holding but failed to see you like this.

Y/N: "I think it's my fault, Tae, I had said those things to you about our baby that day, that's why my God took it away from me, our baby. But Tae, I had said that out of anger, I didn't mean any of that." You cried, shaking your head, when you remember that day you argued with Taehyung and blurted the things in anger.

Taehyung: "No, Y/N, it's not your fault, so don't ever blame yourself. God must have another plan for us, so trust and have faith in him." Taehyung murmured, gently kissing your head again.

The burden of guilt and self-blame eased gradually as you understood it wasn't completely your fault. There were some circumstance beyond your control.

Miscarriage occurs spontaneously due to an abnormality in the developing foetus and poor physical health. The doctor has previously made you aware of your body's deficiencies, including iron, haemoglobin, and other essential minerals.
