Y/N POV:

I woke up with the sunlight streaming through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the room. Stretching lazily, I blinked away the remnants of sleep, the events of last night replaying in my mind. I remembered how San had walked into the kitchen, the tension palpable. I had left quickly, not wanting to prolong the discomfort.
As I lay there, I decided I couldn't let San's behavior continue to affect me. I had more important things to focus on, and stressing over him wasn't worth it. With a sigh, I pushed the thoughts away and rolled out of bed, determined to start my day on a positive note.
Just as I began to rummage through my closet, there was a soft knock on my door.
"Come in," I called out, expecting it to be Seonghwa.
Instead, Mingi's cheerful face appeared. "Good morning! I was wondering if you'd like to join me for breakfast. Then we could head to the studio, and you could watch me practice for a bit. What do you say?"
I couldn't help but smile at his enthusiasm. "Sure, that sounds great. Just give me a few minutes to get ready."
Mingi nodded, leaning against the doorframe. "Take your time. I'll be downstairs."
As I sifted through my clothes, Mingi lingered, striking up a conversation. "So, how are you holding up? Everything okay?"
I paused, a shirt in hand. "I'm doing better, I guess. Last night was just... awkward."
He nodded, understanding in his eyes. "Yeah, I noticed. San can be difficult, but he's not a bad guy. Just give him some time."
I sighed, slipping the shirt over my head. "It's hard not to take it personally, though. It feels like no matter what I do, he's always upset with me."
Mingi leaned against the doorframe, his expression thoughtful. "He's dealing with his own stuff. It's not an excuse, but sometimes people push others away when they're struggling. Maybe he sees you as a reminder of something he's trying to avoid."
I pondered his words as I pulled on a pair of jeans. "I never thought about it that way. I guess I just need to be patient."
"Exactly," Mingi said, his tone encouraging. "And in the meantime, focus on the people who do appreciate you. Like me, for example."
I laughed, feeling lighter already. "Thanks, Mingi. You always know how to make me feel better."
He grinned. "That's what friends are for. Now, hurry up. I'm starving!"
I finished getting ready, taking a bit longer than usual as Mingi continued to chat about the latest happenings in the group. His stories and jokes kept me entertained, making the task of getting ready much more enjoyable.
Finally, I was ready to go. We headed downstairs together, laughter still bubbling between us. As we reached the bottom of the stairs, I almost collided with someone. Looking up, I saw San standing there, a surprised expression on his face.
"Sorry," I mumbled quickly, stepping aside to let him pass. I could see the disappointment in his eyes, a flicker of something like regret.
Wooyoung was beside him, a playful smirk on his lips. "Morning, Y/N."
I managed a small smile in return. "Morning, Wooyoung."
With that, I turned and continued towards the door with Mingi, trying to shake off the brief encounter. I couldn't let San's presence affect my mood today. I had promised myself that.
Outside, the morning air was fresh and cool, a welcome change from the stuffy tension inside. Mingi and I walked side by side, heading towards our favorite breakfast spot.
"You okay?" Mingi asked, glancing at me with concern.
"Yeah," I replied, taking a deep breath. "I'm okay. Just trying to focus on the good things."
He nodded approvingly. "That's the spirit. Now, let's go get some food and enjoy the day. We've got a lot to look forward to."
As we approached the food stalls, I pointed to a place selling chicken skewers. "I'm craving chicken. Let's get some!"
Mingi shook his head, chuckling. "Nah, I'm in the mood for ramen. It's the perfect comfort food."
I crossed my arms, playfully challenging him. "Chicken is the ultimate comfort food. Plus, it's faster. I'm hungry now!"
He laughed, clearly enjoying the banter. "Ramen is worth the wait. Trust me, it'll be delicious."
We went back and forth, each defending our choice with mock seriousness. Finally, Mingi threw his hands up in mock defeat. "Fine! We'll get both. Happy?"
"Very," I said with a triumphant smile. "Compromise is key, my friend."
We ordered our food, and with our hands full, made our way to a bench in front of the studio. Sitting down, I felt a sense of contentment as we began to eat.
As we enjoyed our meal, Mingi turned to me, curiosity in his eyes. "So, anything new with you? You seemed pretty anxious last night."
I took a deep breath, deciding it was time to share. "Actually, I did get some news. Yuna called me last night."
Mingi's eyes widened. "Really? After all this time? What did she say?"
I hesitated, gathering my thoughts. "She apologized for ignoring me. Apparently, she's been going through some stuff too. She wants to meet up and talk about everything."
He nodded, encouraging me to continue. "That's good, right? At least she reached out."
"Yeah," I agreed, feeling a mix of emotions. "But I'm nervous. I don't know what she's been dealing with, and I'm worried about what she might say. I don't want to lose her as a friend."
Mingi placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You won't. If she's reaching out, it means she values your friendship. Just be honest with each other, and things will work out."
I smiled, grateful for his support. "Thanks, Mingi. I needed to hear that."
He grinned, giving my shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Anytime. And if you need a ride to meet her, I'm your guy. Just let me know when and where."
My heart swelled with appreciation. "Really? That would mean a lot to me. Thank you."
"Of course," he said, finishing his ramen. "We're in this together. Now, let's finish up and get to the studio. We've got a lot to do today."
As we sat there, enjoying the morning and each other's company, I felt a renewed sense of hope. With friends like Mingi, I knew I could face whatever challenges came my way. Today was a new day, and I was determined to make the most of it, starting with breakfast and some quality time with Mingi.
