- august barely got any sleep. she was too busy planning what she is going to do without john b and sarah.
she was sitting down at a table watching JJ play with his lighter, she turned to see pope waking up. "morning sleepyhead." she smiled at him and he groaned.
pope walked up to JJ, "he's pinched for sure, man." JJ admitted while pope looked out the door, "no. they wouldn't be still patrolling if they caught him." pope explained, "let's hope."
"you know, we were in that car. they're probably looking for us too." kiara spoke up making everyone turn to her. "well, if we're gonna be outlaws, we might as well help john b." pope insisted.
"so, find him before they do? pope?" JJ tried to get the boys attention but he was quick to leave, "i'm gonna get gas for the boat." he explained, "hey, you be careful. okay?" kiara asked him and he paused.
JJ and august looked at each other with weird faces while they watched the interaction.
"meet me at the dock at three. don't be late." poe told JJ, clearly ignoring kiara. she quickly stood up and followed him, "okay, what is your problem?"
august stood up and walked over to JJ, "the hell?" she asked and grabbed his hand and walked outside to watch, "look, i'm sorry that i hurt your feelings." kiara walked up to pope.
he started revving the engine very loudly, "what was that?" "look, i didn't mean to-" "sorry, what was that?"pope was very good at being petty. "i'm trying to talk to you!" kiara screamed out before pope drove off.
"sassy pope is making a headline." august joked before she heard the sound of a helicopter.
they looked up to watch it drive by, "who the hell is that?" JJ asked, august rolled her eyes, "all this is for a 16 year old boy?"

a while after pope left and kiara had explained to the couple what happened with pope, they were now bagging up food for john b and sarah.
"you sure he wasn't just being weird pope?" JJ asked, "it wasn't really the kind of thing that needed interpretation." kiara explained while handing the pair food, "is that enough food for them?" kiara asked, "i mean, for a couple of weeks, and that's all they need."
"look, i think i actually hurt his feelings." kiara frowned, "look, don't beat yourself up too much. he's completely changed his feels. the past 24 hours have been like jekyll and hyde." JJ tried to make kiara feel better but that shit wasn't gonna cut it.
"honey, boys are confusing as hell, but i'm pretty sure pope is one of the smarter ones. he'll push through heartbreak." august told her and JJ gasped, "um, excuse me?" she stuck her tounge out at him.
