The Whitebeard Pirates came across a small uninhabited island. The only reason they docked at it was because of Marco. He felt a strange pull to the island. He knows it's not his home island because it's in a completely different Blue. It's like the phoenix inside him is wanting him to go to the island. Like there was something there for him to find.
Another odd thing about the island was it wasn't on any of the maps he had or any map he's seen before. It was like it appeared out of nowhere. Maybe it was a moving island? There are islands that move.
Marco stood on the giant whale head on the front of the ship, staring at the island as they approached it. He knows he should be helping get ready to dock but his body wouldn't let him look away from the island. He could hear his father telling him to knock out of it, but it sounded so far away. Anything anyone said sounded like they were far away. He doesn't know why it's happening but for some reason, he didn't care.
Once reaching the island Marco jumped off, ignoring the calls from his brothers, girlfriend, and father. His phoenix pulled him into the thick forest. He came up to an abandoned town. The building crumbled in on itself from age and plants took over mostly everything. He walked through what would have been the main street. He looked around at the buildings.
"Why am I being pulled to this island? It hasn't been inhabited in what seems to be hundreds of years," He asked himself out loud, voice quiet. He then found himself in front of a small broken-down house. The door, or what's left of it, was on the ground, covered in plants. Most of the front wall has fallen apart and the roof is gone. Most of the things inside had plants grown over them. He walked inside carefully. It was a one-room house. There were doorways leading to what would have been a closet and a bathroom.
He walked over to a desk. He pulled some of the plants off. He found an old thick journal laying in the middle of the desk. He picked it up and analyzed it. It was falling apart. The cover seemed to be black or a dark brown but the color was faded. It had a string wrapped around it that helped hold it all together. He untied it and opened the cover. His eyes widened when he saw the first page.
'The secrets of the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix. Tell no one.'
"No way," he said breathlessly, his breath caught in his throat. He couldn't believe what he found. "Is this what pulled me to this island yoi?" He questioned himself under his breath. He turned the first page. He scanned over it. The writing was in ink but it was kinda faded. He also noticed it was a journal. The writing was ancient, luckily he knew how to read most ancient writings. He read the date at the top. "This is from almost 700 years ago during the Blank Ara!" He said, his eyes wide. He then heard people calling his name, they were still far away.
He closed the journal. He looked around the house some more. He found some pictures on the ground. He crouched down and picked one up. It was of a man in his thirties and a woman holding a baby. The glass cover of the picture frame was mostly broken and the picture was faded and the edges and corners were torn and wrinkled. He wondered which one had the fruit. He carefully took out the picture to see if it had an on the back. It did but it was very faded. It was around the same time as the first entry in the journal. He then picked up another picture in basically the same state. It was him with a different woman and two kids, different then the other. He raised an eyebrow and took it out. He read the date. It was taken almost 100 years after the other one.
"How is that even possible?" He asked himself in shock. He found a couple more photos taken years apart. He grabbed all the photos and stood up with the journal in hand. The yells were closer. He walked out of the house. He saw Thatch and Ann run up to him yelling his name.
"Marco!? What's going on with you?!" Ann asked him before they stopped in front of him, panting.
"Yeah, man!? You just ran off when we ported!" Thatch asked him right after Ann. Marco sighed
