He was his everything.

Satoru and Suguru, linked by a connection unknown, drawing one to the other, driving them insane.

Certain instances may pull them apart, only to reach the fact that there is not enough strength in the world to pry the two away from each other.

And that is exactly why, even when fate seems to cut the string, when the world seems to crumble at the twitch of a finger, hope is the one thing that ties the soul to earth.

It was one day that Satoru found himself at a park, one of which he visited often. The sun beamed through the trees, a gentle breeze passing through.

It was a beautiful day, Satoru decided, and took action in dragging one of his best friends, Shoko, out of her day job to meet him there. And so they sat on a bench, waiting for Suguru, whose phone blew up with Satoru's texts to meet up.

"Suguru! Come here!"

Satoru's voice, crisp and clear, rang through the park, reaching Suguru's ears.

"Ah, Satoru, Shoko! Coming!"

Satoru and Shoko watched as Suguru turned a corner, his hands in the pockets of his pants, briefly removing them to jog towards the others.

He had always been Satoru's crush. When they were younger, in their teenage years, Satoru would watch as Suguru trained, fawning over him secretively.

He would watch his movements ever so quietly, concealing his aura to make sure he wasn't spotted. However, Suguru always seemed to know when Satoru was watching him, resulting in much embarrassment from both boys.

As they grew up, much stayed the same as when they were younger. Satoru still admired Suguru's every little movement. The latter was still a bit embarrassed at the notion that he had a not-so-secret admirer, but confessed that his feelings were mutual after a while of consideration.

And so they were, in the present, reliving their childhood days together with Shoko, who they met early in high school.

They were no longer little children; the three had long since matured- Satoru, not as much. He was still a goofball when he wanted to be.

Just how Suguru loved it.

Satoru snapped out of his flashback when Suguru slid his small, black backpack off his shoulder and sat down next to him.

"Suguru! We've been waiting for you, how's everything going?"

"You saw me an hour ago, you dummy." Suguru chuckled and gave Satoru a kiss on the cheek. "You passed by my house to say hi, remember?"

Shoko hid a snicker behind her hand, pretending it was a cough.

She indulged in the fact that these two were- very obviously- in love. As the only woman in the group, she kept them in check, keeping them out of trouble.

However, when they were still in high school, she noticed that they spent more time together- and she concluded that they were in love. When they confirmed their relationship a few years later, Shoko toasted to herself and lit a cigarette.

When she caught Satoru and Suguru making out behind a building, she smoked a whole pack.

"So, Shoko," Suguru began. "How was work?"

Shoko, aside from being a Jujutsu Sorcerer, took a job at a restaurant as a server for some extra cash. Years ago, she had told herself that if she didn't get a job by the age of 16, she would end up like Satoru- unemployed. She definitely wasn't going to let that happen.
