"so the final exams are back to subjugating kaijus?"
Asked mana as she walked down the hallway of their base with artemis walking behind her in a slightly slower pace.

"yup! Well, that's what i heard from the other officers, oh! And i also think your presence was also requested"
Chimed artemis as smiled widely, looking at the back of the shorter girl in front of her who was carrying a long black bag
On her shoulder as her every step emitted an air of confidence.

Reaching the doors of the control room the door opened as artemis and mana walked inside as they saw their captain and vice captain standing in the middle as they both saluted at the two of them

"At ease, officer mana and foreigner artemis."
Said mina as the two then brought their hand down as artemis walked towards the captain and stood behind her as mana went to their vice captains side.

"soshi-nii"

Hoshina turned away from the screen as he smiled as he saw the young girl looking up at him "Oh! Mana there you are! Perfect timing, I was just about to go out and greet the newbies. Ya wanna come and accompany me?"

Mana nodded as hoshina turned to look at mina and artemis who were looking at the two of them as mina nodded at him
"Do as you wish. after all, mana and artemis are proctors of this years examination"

Mina said as the mentioned individuals simultaneously turned their head to the side

"we are?"

The two just stared at their captain as they heard a loud laugh next to them

"AHAHAHAHA THEY DIDN'T KNOW! NOW THATS A COMEDIC RELIEF AHAHAHA!!"

the three females just stared at hoshina as he kept laughing while slapping the ground, mina then cleared her throat as she stared at her vice captain "Yes, you both are proctors of this years exam along side hoshina. But it seems that a certain someone forgot to pass on the order"

The laughing from the said man then abruptly stopped as he stood up and turned to look at the two "Well let's go shall we!"

The three then saluted to their captain as they made their way out to the training field, the pair then followed behind their vice as they turned to look at each other.

The three stood in front of a big gate as they waited for the newbies to arrive, a small sneeze was heard in between artemis and hoshina as they both looked down to a shivering mana who was hugging herself, hoping her own body heat would help her through the cold

"mana are you ok? You might catch a cold" artemis said as she placed her hand on mana's forehead as a worried look was present on her face

"where is your uniform mana?" hoshina asked as he eyed the young girl whose upper clothing was only a crop top "It got ripped after my training session with captain" mana said as she continued to look straight ahead with a monotonous face. Mana shivered again as she tried to hug herself tighter, if it was possible.

'Its not even that cold today, heck the sun is blazing today and the wind is not harsh also. Maybe I am sick' the young girl though. She was staring blankly at the path where she expect the newbies to arrive from when she suddenly felt a piece of cloth being draped over her head

"wear my jacket for now, can't afford our best sniper to get sick ye?" hoshina said with a wide smile as he helped the younger girl wear his jacket as he zipped it all the way up to her face.
