They walked through the archway and Y/n turned around just in time to see it shrink instantly back into solid wall.

"Check your lists," Simon said.

Y/n looked at the second page that Dumbledore had mentioned but he hadn't seen it until now. He then read it over:

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS

"Broomsticks?" Y/n asked confused.

"It's for this sport called Quidditch. I'm going to be on my Houses team this year as a keeper. That's basically the goalie," Simon said. "Okay, let's get you those wands!"

"But we don't have any money," Devon said.

"I have loads. Grabbed a bit too much out of my vault at Gringotts," Simon said. "Oh! Gringotts is a wizard bank run by goblins. Don't even try and steal anything from there. Alright this way to Ollivanders. The best place to get a wand."

They walked past other places and book stores and places to get sweets.

"Simon?" Y/n asked.

"What's up?" He replied.

"What do you mean Houses?"

"Oh, well, you see there are four different Houses at Hogwarts. First is Gryffindor. Their symbol is a lion. Second is Slytherin. Their symbol is a snake. Third is Hufflepuff. Their symbol is a Badger. And lastly is Ravenclaw. their symbol is a Raven."

"Which house are you in?" Devon asked.

"I'm in Ravenclaw. Ah, here we are. Ollivanders."

Simon turns to face Y/n and Devon.

"Okay, I'm going to get my books at Flourish and Blotts," He said. "It's six doors down. Go over there with me when you've got your wand. And stick together."

He walked off and Y/n and Devon made their way inside of Ollivanders.

A tinkling bell rang somewhere in the depths of the shop as they stepped inside. It was a tiny place, empty except for a single, spindly chair.

"Good morning," said a soft voice.

Devon and Y/n turned to face the person the voice came out of. They saw an old man was standing before them, his wide, pale eyes shining like moons through the gloom of the shop.

"Devon Cooper, I assume?" He asked. Devon and Y/n immediately knew this was Mr. Ollivander himself.

"Yeah, that's me," Devon said. Y/n went and sat down on the spindly chair.

"Yes. I have just the wand for you," He walks to the selves and pulls out a box. He comes back and takes out the wand and gives it to Devon. Devon takes it and looks at it. "Perfect! Absolutely perfect! Eleven inches long, supple, made of Chestnut with a Dragon Heart string."

"I have to get some money from my older brother Simon. Be right back," Devon said as he ran out and in the direction Simon went.

"Now for you, Mr...?" Ollivander knew Devon's last name but didn't know Y/n's.

"Riddle. Y/n Riddle," Y/n said.

Mr. Ollivander look at him for a second. Like he was afraid.

"Y-yes. Mr. Riddle. Your mother, Sally Riddle, was here getting her wand fourty-seven years ago. Your uncle got his wand fifty-three years ago. J-just give me a second," He said as he walked to the back and got three wand boxes.

He opened the first one, gave it to Y/n, then immediately took it away. He opened the second one, gave it to Y/n, then took it back. He opened the third box, gave it to Y/n, then took it away.

"Stick out your arm please," Mr. Ollivander asked.

Y/n did as he was told. Mr. Ollivander nodded then gave the wand from the second box back.

"There you go, Mr. Riddle. Twelve and a half inches long, unbending flexibility, Aspen wood with a dragon core."

"I have to wait for-" Y/n began but was immediately interrupted.

"We're back!" Devon shouted.

Mr. Ollivander then saw Simon as he walked in and then said: "Simon! Eleven and a half inches long, springy, Apple wood with a unicorn hair core."

"Hey, Mr. Ollivander. Here's the money for their wands," Simon says.

"Thank you," He says as he takes it.

Y/n looks at Mr. Ollivander sheepishly. "Uh, Mr. Ollivander?" He asked. "You never said my uncle's name. Why's that?"

"I do not speak his name. Thirteen-and-a-half inches. Yew. Powerful wand, very powerful, that was his wand, though. Your uncle did great things. Terrible. But great," He replied.

"Come on, Y/n. We have to get the rest of our things. We should go back to Flourish and Blotts to get your books. Y/n I think you'll like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them You love animals!" Simon said and they all walked out of Ollivanders.
