Y/n walked into Professor Dumbledore's office and closed the door behind him. He then walked over to Dumbledore's desk.
"You wanted to see me, Professor?" Said Y/n as he sat down on a chair Dumbledore had.
"Ah, yes, Y/n. I have two very important things to tell you," Dumbledore said. "I suppose you don't have your trunk with you."
"No, sir, I don't."
"Not to worry. I asked Percy Weasley to bring it here. He should be here in-"
The door suddenly swung open and Percy walked in with Y/n's trunk. Y/n was confused as to why his trunk was necessary. But when Percy left, Dumbledore started to explain.
"I had a student a long, long time ago that did great things. He was a Magizoologist. Newt Scamander. I'm sure you've heard of him," He said. "Now, I noticed that you seemed really interested in the magical beast known as the Niffler."
"That is correct, sir," Y/n replied.
"Open your trunk please."
Y/n unlocks his trunk and Dumbledore takes out his wand and points it at it. He mutters some words that Y/n doesn't hear then puts his wand away. He then picks up a quill and drops it into the trunk. Put it doesn't stop falling. It goes on for about fifty feet.
"What did you do to it?" Y/n asked curiously.
"I just used an Undetectable Extension Charm on it," Dumbledore said. "Now I want you to be very careful with these two creatures. They are very dangerous if not cared for correctly."
Dumbledore went to the corner of the room, grabbed a tall ladder and slowly shoved it into the trunk. He then walked over to a cage that contained two Phoenixes. He took one out and let it down into the trunk in which it went into without hesitation. He then walked over to his desk and unlocked a drawer. He struggled a little but then Y/n saw it. It was a fluffy, long-snouted creature with spade-like front paws. It was a Niffler.
Dumbledore walked over to Y/n and handed him the Niffler. It looked up at Y/n curiously before looking at the golden watch that Rose had given him for his birthday two years ago. It tried to snatch it but was unable to because Y/n descended down the ladder with it to see the trunk.
After about a minute or two, Y/n reappeared from the trunk, this time without the Niffler. He closed it and locked it.
"Thank you, Dumbledore," Y/n said excitedly.
"You are very welcome, Y/n. But be careful. Scamander was expelled because of some complications," Dumbledore said. "Best be off now. I'll have Percy take your trunk down back to the dormitory."
Y/n nodded and turned to leave until Dumbledore said something.
"Y/n. No one except staff are allowed to know about this. And these are for your studies. Understood?"
"Yes, Professor," Y/n responded before walking out of the office.

A/N: Sorry if this was a short chapter. I wanted it to be longer but I decided to just discuss whatever's in this chapter. In all honesty I wanted a chapter where Y/n as alone again. Y/n X Hermione will start towards the end of the book. They won't say anything to each other until later. I'm thinking on making you date someone until then but I don't know who. Comment who you want. This will be in book 3 or two so just for future reference.
Options are: Pansy Parkinson (Doubt you'll choose her), Lavender Brown, or Luna Lovegood.
