Chapter 5: Look at Me

For the rest of the day, Milena was sad. She just couldn't keep to herself the fact that she might be all alone. She still had a fight with a new friend who she really liked. But they could be more than friends... And that ghost... Danny Phantom... They can't be together. He's a hero after all. What does he care about a tiny girl with glasses?.. During his career as a hero, he probably saw a lot of beauties and has already met his betrothed. What about her?.. Milena could have been with Danny... If he had just said: "Please stay. Look my way..."*
Today Milena decided to take a walk late at night. She is rarely released at this time, but today she was alone. Boring. Why not take a walk? Cry on the street...
It was pretty dark. The lanterns were burning dimly. Milena was sadly walking around the city at night. She found a place where she could be alone: the roof of one of the tall houses(like in TMNT 2012). I don't think you can climb in there, but no one sees it. Many people stay at home, who even cares about it. Milena climbed the fire escape to the roof. The city was so beautiful... That's just scary. The height was still not small. She crouched down, tucking her legs under her... and she began to cry. She was in pain... It hurts a lot. That incident in the dining room hit her harder than anything in the world. Even the case when she came to school a few hours earlier than everyone else is not as terrible as this one. Milena hoped for friendship with Sam. She looked pretty. Goth... so unusual. But Danny... How does he feel now?..
he was disappointed. He was ashamed that he had ever allowed himself to be treated like this by a girl he liked. Night patrol again. The city is quiet. It's pretty much for the best. But the case of Milena... If only he could turn back time, he could maintain a good relationship with her.
The semi-ghost flew around the city with boredom. And then he saw... her... She was sitting on the roof and crying. It was as if she was complaining to God about what had been done to her today. Or maybe she's crying for the Moon, and she's comforting her? Danny wanted to fly to her, feel sorry for her... Maybe even apologize. But it's better not to apologize, because she doesn't know who he really is yet... Danny was quietly flying up to the girl when he suddenly saw a strange, painfully familiar figure approaching her. That's... OH GOD! She couldn't let him even touch her.

- I've finally found you. - a threatening voice sounded behind Milena.

She turned around and a gun was immediately pointed at her forehead. Milena saw a large iron figure, barely resembling a man. There was a bright green flame from his head, the metallic luster of this creature was simply blinding.

- W-Who are you?! What do you need?!  - Four-eyes whimpered.
- Skulker is the greatest hunter of the Ghost Zone. And you are the person that the puppy values so much. - The metal creature spoke threateningly.

- DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER! - Danny flew into Skulker with all his speed, that he flew off to the side.

- Easy on the mind, ghost boy... - The ghost growled after such a blow.

- Why do you need it, Skulker?! - Danny got into a fighting mood.

- I don't need it anymore. All that was required of her was done. She worked as a great bait for you, ghost boy. But if you don't give up on me right now, I think your sweetheart will be hanging over my fireplace instead of you.

- What?! Over my dead body!

And immediately a powerful fight began. The only sounds were shouts and the sound of metal. However, wait... Beloved? What is he talking about? Milena sat scared and then began to slowly back away.
And everything was as usual: the fight was over, Danny won. But only Milena... She started backing away as she had already passed the edge of the roof and started falling down. The half-ghost immediately rushed to help. He flew up to her as quickly as possible and managed to grab her in his arms at the very ground, and then take off again. Milena clung to him in fright, just not to fall again. Danny didn't mind hugging his girl to him either. God... What is he thinking about? They haven't even confessed their love to each other yet.

- Mil-oh, I mean, Miss, are you okay?..  - Danny asked the girl.

In response, Milena only nodded fearfully. Danny lowered himself to the ground, setting her on her feet.

- I apologize for disturbing your sad session ... - the half-ghost took the girl's palm and kissed her hand.(can he be so cultured?)

The bespectacled girl blushed a little from embarrassment. She had never had her hand kissed before. So did Danny... He was a little surprised that he did it at all.

- Thanks... - Milena whispered shyly. - This is the second time you've saved me- um...

- Danny Phantom. Nice to meet you...
- Milena...

- Mh... such a beautiful name...
from such words, Milena shyly looked away.

- And how could such a beautiful girl sit on the roof and cry. Has someone offended you?..

- I had a fight with a friend... His girlfriend yelled at me and told me not to contact them...

Then Danny froze in place. Did she really think it was a fight? But he was ashamed and he still wants to communicate with her. He decided to color the situation, so that his sweetheart would not be sad.

- I'm sorry... I'm sure he definitely didn't want you to get upset. But... Maybe I can cheer you up a little? Would you like to fly around the city? I can show you some beautiful places. - the half-ghost said with a note of shyness.

The girl was a little shy... She just couldn't refuse him out of politeness. And yet, the chance to fly around the city with your favorite hero is not given every day.

- I... I won't mind. But I just can't fly. - Milena decided to show off her "great" humor.

Danny giggled a little:

- You don't need to. I can pick you up if you want. Or do you still prefer to walk?

- I will not refuse to be picked up...

And then Milena felt ashamed. Although she was tiny, she was afraid that she would be heavy. However, Danny picked it up without any problems and took off. The girl clung to him in fear. The half-ghost, with a light laugh, calmly hugged her to him in response.
They were flying... The city was much more beautiful than at first glance. And he held her in his arms. Butterflies in my stomach...
The "walk" was great. Danny really knew a lot of beautiful places. In one of them, he gave her a flower... so beautiful... he wove it into Milena's hair. This flower decorated her so much... She looked even more beautiful with him... Was this all a date? A date with a hero? So stupid... Although such a thought was even a little pleasing. At least someone finally loves her. Such a wonderful person. If only they could be together... That would be just fine... But it was simply impossible to imagine. Rather out of pity, he suggested that she take a walk. Why does he need her? She's just a little bespectacled girl...
The half-ghost even escorted the girl home. Milena already wanted to kiss him goodbye, but she was so shy. But Danny didn't mind at all, and therefore was a little upset when he wasn't even given a chance for a simple kiss on the cheek... The feel of her soft lips on his cheek is probably priceless. He would never have felt anything more precious than her kiss...
however, when he saw that the boy was upset, bespectacled immediately ran up to him and hugged him tightly. Her hug was like that... warm. If Danny had been an ice cream cone, he could have easily melted. It's very hard to resist this.
That's just a few questions left: how could he apologize for that incident now, would he admit everything to her and would she forgive him at all?
