Chapter 6: A 'day' off

Justin POV:

I pull my head up for the 50th time since I arrived at this office this morning. I am so tired and bored. i have been working non-stop with Andy so that we can save this business that Andy recently bought that was crumbling down. We have been working at it now for 1 month and I think that we all need a break from this because we did save the company, but I can see that all of us are tired. I can tell that Andy lies to me that he is fine and Sofie is not happy with our constant absence from the house. I am about to express my thoughts when I remember that we are in the middle of a business meeting.

I zoned out in the beginning and now I'm back but the meeting is closing up and everyone is shaking hands with each other. I stand up and join the goodbye greetings. I drop in the chair of his office with a huff. I'm so tired but I can see that Andy has had it worse so I wait for him to enter his office. As soon as he entered I blurt out with no control, "Lets go on a vacation!" He looked tired before I asked now, he looks curious and his eyes are questioning. "Why?" He asks. "I am fine." he says when I give him a look of disbelief. "Liar, Liar, pants on fire. I can see the lie in your eyes." I smirk playfully.

"But seriously, we all need a break. Me, you and 'God bless her poor lonely soul' Sofie." I add Sofie in and I can see a twinge of guilt and regret in his eyes. I still need to push him a little, "We left her at home, alone. For 1 month to do office work. I bet she misses all the tucking in at bedtime and talking together." And....... Bingo! I got him now. He looks so guilty and regretful. I feel sorry for him but we all need this, plus I need Andy away from my 'so called' conniving 'best friend'. "Where and how long?" He asks. Lucky for him I already planned everything and I only told him that we will be gone for at least 2 or 3 weeks. I told the maids at home to prepare all the necessary things so they are on stand-by.

We finish our work fast in order to get Sofia and tell her the news before we have to go. I quite excited for this trip and I can see the question in Andy's eyes. His trying to guess where we are going. I gave nothing away except the duration of the time we will be there. We get home and I jump out of the car, not literally. I run into the house to Sofie, the little girl who has managed to worm her way into my heart. I really love the girl.

Andy POV:

I wonder where we are going. I tried to persuade Justin into telling me but he won't budge. I guess it's kinda my fault because I neglected my family and myself. I hope Sofie will be ok with the news. I never really could bare with her being upset. now that i think about it, I have been neglecting her lately and I feel so horrible for it. She only has me because our parents just dumped her in my arms and ran. She doesn't know about them and I don't plan to tell her, ever. I tried to know where we are going and Justin still won't tell. I hope it is good enough for Sofia. I love her with everything I have in me. 

As soon as the car stops, Justin hastily jumps out and runs into the front, probably looking for Sophie to tell her the news. I take my time in getting out of the car and into the house. Immediately I walk through the door, Sofie jumps on me. She asks me in her small insecure, innocent voice, "Is it true? Are we going on a vacation?" She looks at me with hopeful eyes and I immediately confirm it. She puts her head in my neck and she begins to rant of how she missed us and our company and if we will do that again. "I promise, I won't do it again." I promised her. Her sad expression immediately formed into one of happiness and she jumped off me. 

I chuckled and chases her around. Soon Justin joined us and we all played a silly game of tag. I can't believe that I, Andrew, Ceo and successful businessman. Is playing tag with his little sister. But I don't mind because I will do anything for her. Sappy, I know. The game came to an abrupt end when I accidentally touched Justin's crotch in an attempt to tag him. He smirked and told me that if I wanted It I could have just asked. I blushed and told a sleepy-eyed Sofia to go to bed, and Justin too. Because of our long day ahead and also because I think that I am beginning to develop feelings for this guy. And that is definitely Not safe.

Why do I have a bad feeling about tomorrow?  I ask myself as I drift off to a neutral sleep.
