MHA: Mizumi's Story

3rd Person
"Hey, Kitty. You're not choosing Denki over me, are you?" Shinso says out of nowhere one day.
"What? Of course not. Why would you think that?" Mizumi asks.
Shinso rubs the back of his neck nervously. "I've noticed you spending more time with Denki lately. And the way you defended him to your brother the other day. I'm starting to feel like you guys don't need me around anymore."
"Of course we still need you. You know we both love you a lot."
"Maybe we've taken things too far. Maybe it's time to go back to the way things were before we started sharing you..."
"What? No! We have a good thing going. Please don't take that away..." Mizumi pleads, desperately trying to convince her boyfriend not to take away what he has given her.
"Why not? It's pretty obvious that you like him more than me. You're always complimenting him and flirting with him, but you don't do that kind of stuff with me anymore."
"What are you talking about? I say nice things about you all the time, and I bet I could say a bunch of nice things about you and only say one mean thing but you would focus more on the mean thing."
"Do it."
"Really? Is that what you want right now?"
"Go ahead. I'm waiting..." Shinso crosses his arms, daring Mizumi to continue.
Mizumi takes a deep breath. "Alright, we're really doing this. Let's start with the mean thing, shall we? You are a snarky asshole. You have a tendency to be rude to people and I hate watching you hurt someone's feelings. Is that mean enough for you? Can we move on to the nice things now?"
"Please do." Shinso listens as his girlfriend starts listing off her favorite things about him.

"1. Despite the fact that you are a sarcastic jerk, you do have a good heart. Remember our first day of training together? You spent the entire session hurling insults at me and I went home crying. You knew you hurt me and you apologized that same day. You very quickly learned not to talk to me like that and you haven't spoken to me so harshly ever since.

2. I think it's really admirable that you found a way to use your power to be a hero. Not everyone in your position would do that. And on that note, you are an amazing hero.

3. I'm very proud of how far you've come and I can't wait to see how you thrive as a pro someday. You inspire me to work harder to be a hero. I wouldn't even have my license if it weren't for you.

4. You are drop dead gorgeous. Literally the most beautiful human being I've ever seen in my life and I have thought so since the day I met you. The very mention of your name gives me butterflies. The sound of your voice makes me want to melt. I could listen to you ramble on about stupid random crap all day and never get tired of hearing you talk.

5. I feel protected when you're around and I have an urge to protect you with my life. I love it when you put your arms around me, and the way you pull me closer to you makes me feel loved. Your touch makes me feel safe, and I really appreciate the little gestures like the forehead kisses and the headpats.

6. You're a total gentleman. Before you kissed my hand for the first time, I was certain that guys didn't do that anymore. You don't need to open doors for me, but you do it anyway because you want to. You love me enough to get jealous and a little possessive when other guys talk to me, even though you have no reason to feel threatened.

7. You're loyal to a fault and I can trust you not to do anything that would break my heart. You were there for me when I was pushing everyone else away. You didn't need to take care of me, but you did. You made me learn to love myself, and you saved my life when I had given up.

8. I get the best sleep of my life when I share a bed with you, and I feel safe in my sleep. Your very presence in the room keeps the nightmares away.

9. You're a really good listener, and I appreciate that you actually pay attention to me more than anyone else does.

10. You're very smart. I can always trust your judgment. You always know what I need to hear, and you're really good with your words.

Is that enough or do you want me to keep going?
Take another one for the road. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I will never not be in love with you.
Don't ever think you're a second choice to me. I love you and Denki equally, and there is no breaking the tie. I can't choose between you. We have a good thing going. Please don't take that away..."

Shinso's eyes widen as he realizes just how much he means to Mizumi. She really does love him and he can't take away what he has given her. This whole thing was his idea and it's too late to take it back.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Forget I said anything, okay? We can keep Denki."
Mizumi jumps up and hugs Shinso tightly, peppering his face with kisses. "Thank you, Toshi. You're the best, you know that?"
