"Your Majesty?"

"...."

Bern scratched his head. He was confused, whether he should shout to make Nyx pay attention to him, or whether he should call Nyx softly.

He wants his work to be finished quickly. But, on the other hand, he didn't want his head to ache all day because of his queen's tantrum.

'What a tiring day,' Bern sighed softly, afraid that his Queen would notice. And fortunately, she is not.

He saw that his Queen was still motionless. No matter how he looked at it, it seemed like it would take a long time for his Queen to come to her sense.

"Ahem! Your Highness, can you hear me?" He said in a tone that rose an octave. Gradually he felt a little annoyed because Nyx was still lost in her own thoughts.

"What if I shake her?" Bern said, contemplating what he should do to bring his superior back to consciousness.

'But, come to think of it, what's on My Queen's mind for her to be so oblivious to her surroundings?'

Actually, it wasn't the first or second time Bern had caught Nyx lost in thought like that. Thinking back, it seemed that Nyx had often daydreamed with a blank stare or been lost in her own thoughts after the previous Demon King, Lucifer, had simply disappeared three thousand years ago.

Bern understood how it felt to lose a loved one just like that, because he did too. But, sometimes he also felt sorry and a little annoyed at his Queen.

It had been three thousand years since Lucifer disappeared, and it had been more than two thousand years for Nyx after she was truly recognized as the true Queen of Demons.

In the midst of Bern being lost in his own thoughts, he heard Nyx's voice calling him.

"Bern!"

"..."

"BERN SILVERSTONE!!"

With great surprise, Bern reflexively saluted Nyx.

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

Nyx frowned, looking at her aide with a strange look.

"Isn't it still working hours now? Why are you daydreaming like that?" Nyx asked. She looked at her aide with one eyebrow raised.

"Oh, do you want to eat blind wages?" Bern was wide-eyed at his queen's question.

"Huh? What do you mean, Your Majesty? During the time I served you, have I ever done that?" Bern protested.

Nyx changed her sitting position, crossing her legs and leaning on the back of the chair, she chuckled softly looking at Bern.

"I was kidding," Nyx said, waving her hand.

Bern sighed in relief. But Bern seemed to pout his lips a little, meaning he was sulking.

'No matter how many times I see it, I still find it funny. Bern is like a bear who sulks easily, he is tall but he looks fluffy.' Nyx thought to herself.

But she suddenly remembered something. "Oh, I forgot to tell you."

Nyx suddenly turned serious. Seeing the change in atmosphere, Bern returned to his serious mode.

"What is it, Your Highness?" Bern asked.

"It seems like Heaven is starting to move."

"Ah...I understand."

No matter what, for the Demon Race, friction between celestial beings and demons was just something that happened occasionally. However, this time it was not on the scale of a dog fight like usual.

Bern and Nyx knew without having to talk about it. Now is the time when a great war would occur.
